You should look into a big vac system. I bet you’d get a lot more done with guys lugging a hose for soft soil removal.

Great solution, it’s like doing some mining. Excellent technique.

I installed drainage systems in basements and crawlspaces for a company and we had to carry out the dirt in buckets up to the dump trailer but a conveyor belt would've been much easier, more practical and would've paid for itself pretty quickly rather than having workers who could barely walk by lunchtime, taking extra breaks and stretching the breaks for as long as we could because the job was so miserable. Heck even removing a window or chipping out cinderblock to run the conveyer and someone coming back to fix it if there was nowhere else to run it would've been more practical than lugging it all out in buckets

currently using a 3hp dust collector and a cyclone separator but those boulders are tough, hauled out a 127 lb rock yesterday

How do you prevent that conveyor from jamming? We have a similar system to move trash, and it jams like every other day..
@americancrawlspacesolutions Жыл бұрын
just have to be careful what we put on the belts. Big stuff does tend to cause jams

Does it matter how much dirt you removed from the crawl space? Does it affect the support beams by removing X amount of dirt ?
@americancrawlspacesolutions6 ай бұрын
it can definitely affect the support piers if you remove the dirt around them, so it is advised to seek advice from a structural engineer first

We're in Metro Atlanta....long ways from Prescott. I do know someone who owns a Pest Control business in your area. Depending on what you need to have done, he may be a good referral source. Do you need a crawlspace dug out?

How the hack did that much crap get into the crawl space in the first place?

Are you kidding? Brand new houses have that much crap. Here in the south everyone leaves whatever leftover materials and scrap where they are. Because that's where it belongs. They won't even level the dirt before building. It's a joke. Will not spend a second more to do a better job. Because that would be doing it wrong.
