Same method I use. I have one change I use. I use oil dry instead of cat litter. What garages use to soak up oil spills. A bit more money but works fantastic. Dawn is the best. Thanks

My question is how to clean the rags? I dont wipe the rocks with a rag first, they go right into the kitty litter. But the rags still get full of oil, and if you wash them in your washing machine, the oil gets all over your machine.

Dawn works and I never had an issue with it. one or two drops directly on the slab and a little warm water less messy than kitty litter the water can be returned to the earth by pouring it on the driveway, Kitty litter is a problem to get rid of and is not easy to dispose of. Low velocity mineral oil from Highland park is the best oil on the market and any other is a problem waiting to happen.

that is how i learned , instead of using kitty liter i use oil dry, it is more available than non clumping kitty litter is, it costs some extra but i found it works better than the kitty liter does,, DAWN is the magic potion around it takes care of every thing from grease and oil to removing skunk from me and the dogs to degreasing furs for tanning to cleaning paint brushes that were used with oil based paints

I have been using ZEP oil and spill granuals very lightweight and cleans up easy

Let them drain then wipe them off with a rag. Then put them in peat moss.
