Nah you can't gain exp.

You can still get exp if the enemies hit you even when you have the logia effect, but Ice M1's don't count as sword

how long did it take in hours to get from stage 4 to stage 5 aura? and also if you get stage 4 haki it needs 48k exp right, if you want to go to stage 5 does it only need 12k hits or do you need the whole 60k exp?

As i have said everytime you reached a certain stage, the exp won't restart it will add up until you reach 60k.
