Methods 1 & 3 are also the quickest way to get quickly get into HourGlass fights as well, since just going in with base supplies does put you at a slight disadvantage, especially if the match goes on for an extended period of time. Plus, Method 1 can potentially net you both Chainshots & Cursed Cannonballs, both of which are potentially game changing during HourGlass PvP Fights

I’ve made a rule now. If it is someone who just runs and resets beyond 20 minutes, I will try to board, if I don’t succeed I scuttle. I’m not chasing reapers in a figure 8 for an hour when I can go onto a fight that lasts 1-5 minutes.

@@Large_Pepsi precisely. I hate wasting time at this point. The grind is much faster and more efficient. Now if it’s a good fight, I am game on, but if it’s a brain dead runner, I’m not wasting two hours. That’s why I’m done with Athena and 52 on Servant.

@@thecoolaxolotlnova8523 if I have a streak I don’t throw in the towel. If it is my first fight I don’t waste time though. People who run are the most annoying, and I’m not just saying running to repair/reset. I mean those who do figure 8s all over the circle. They’re willing to waste hours, and I’ve obliged them. In the end of those fights I win, but it feels so pointless if it is only your first or second of that streak.

Good stuff. Also during a server hop using the port town checkpoint. With two storage crates you can let one person crate the town for food and fire bombs and blunderbombs. A second player can stay in the dock and scuttle and respawn the ship over and over while crating the cannon barrels and wood. Huge supplies but takes 10 minutes.

@@patrickrico2467 Yes. It respawns right on the dock after you scuttle. ETA: We do this to start most sessions. If you don't want to grab a second storage crate then just crate the boat at the dock with cannons barrels and wood until you have just four empty spots left in then crate then go crate the town barrels for the good food. Recently they stopped spawning bananas in the town so you just get good food and lots of it.

You can actually get 150 cannons from the forts, if you just find all the barrels ;)

To get Supplies I usally do the Last Pirates Life Tall Tale. Me and my friend got over 2000 cannonballs and 500ish wood in about 30-40minutes.Then we just cancelled it and went on our way.

Yeah that tale is nuts. The reason I didn't include it in this is because of the time taken - this was just a compilation of the fastest methods which result in a high amount

I would add to the method 3 a very important thing (a bug, but they haven't patched it so far): if you have multiple people on your crew, you can do a countdown and buy from captain shop at the same second to double, triple or even quadruple-buy things. It's not very consistent and people will sometimes fail to buy, but overall it's definitely the best method if you're on captained brig or galleon, for about 10k gold each, you can get a really decent stock in mere seconds.

Neat tricks i learned are taking your boat through the portal for the tall tales. Park at the ghost city, load up a storage crate then fill your barrels. Next scuttle the ship. You should return back at the same parking spot in the ghost town with freshly filled barrels around the town again. Also fire bomb a group of chickens for quick cooked meet.

I've always used the 5th pirates life tall tale it takes about 30 min and gives about 1000 wood and cannonballs and then I will do a sea fort. So for a whole hour of stocking up I can get supplies for the whole day if I am stacking.

Im using a BenQ XL2456. Though that doesn’t affect the visuals of the videos, I post process a bit of sharpness, boosted contrast, and a touch of saturation to make colours pop, thought the videos do look accurate to what i see

No, you don't have to. You can play without a captained ship still. Or you can purchase a ship (therefore making you the captain of that ship) and have a few perks (things called captain voyages, ability to set a name for your ship, additional purchasable goods from the shipwright, and being able to spend gold to set permanent customisations to your ship, such as a specific hull skin, cannons, etc). This is a one-time cost, besides having to pay to repair cosmetic damage (but that's optional, if you don't mind looking like your ship has been shot at for the last hour, if enough cosmetic damage occurs).

Spawned twice at a looted outpost yesterday…. Went to sea fort and found it also empty… wtf
