As a US citizen living in Morelia, Michoacan for three years, I've found it to be a wonderful experience! I've posted to your channel before, and nothing has changed. The city, the culture, the architecture, and of course the food. Still the best move ever!

That's awesome! The central region of Mexico is truly magical!

Thanks for commenting Russell. I live outside of Morelia and agree it’s a wonderful area to live.

@@laura-bronner there is also a butterfly sanctuary in Pacific Grove. Pacific Grove is near Pebble Beach. If you are ever near Monterey you should check it out. Beautiful place.

Loved the butterfly info & tour along the way up. Beautiful & exciting for sure. I missed Mexico in 2023-24. Already excited & anxious about this winter❤. Thanks also for the Lingo info. Great video again Laura🎉❤

My husband and were in Morelia for a quick weekend and absolutely loved it! Beautiful city with lovely people. There is not a ton of English speaking happening but I know enough to get by. We'll definitely go back though.

It's such a beautiful state! I haven't had a chance to get to Morelia yet, but hopefully on a return trip. I've heard so many great things about the city!

Muy Bien y gracias! Although you mentioned hundreds maybe thousands, after watching your vid I would say easily millions! Did your guide say why they congregate there?

The forest here and the particular trees that are here create the perfect level of moisture which keeps the butterflies happy and the temperatures are perfect for keeping them from using their fat reserves. They huddle all together like that on the trees to keep warm.

Wonderful! What month did you visit? I heard this 23/24 there is a huge decline in the number of butterflies that returned.

The numbers fluctuate a lot - there are so many factors, but the number of butterflies in the last few years has actually been increasing! I went in early March and the weather was perfect!

You are so lucky! In Mexico you were not kidnapped by a cartel gang and held for ransom.

😂😂😂 55 million international tourists visited Mexico last year, luckily they all didn't get kidnapped 😂😂😂
