I'm somewhat of a newer nba fan (first game I watched in full was Giannis' 50 piece in the '21 finals) so I do certainly do not speak for most nba fans. But I liked the all star game. It's a nice break from the regular games that get so boring this time of year with their being 82 of the fuckers. So I see the argument for this only being fun for "little kids". As a certified NBA nephew, I enjoyed seeing the best player's in this offensive league make impressive and unique offensive plays. So what if there's no defense? Defense these days is so boring. It's all about shuffling your feet and sticking your hands straight up, and they still get the foul 75% of the time. This ain't the DPOY all-star game. Yall can watch OG Anunoby, Draymond Green, Alex Caruso film if you want to see all star defense. I want to see dame's logo 3s, haliburton's Magic assists, luka chucking up 70 foot floaters, jokic trying to reverse dunk, 7 foot Kat sprinting the floor and flying down the lane for a power slam, 39 year old lebron getting above the rim and tomahawking lobs, all in 1 game. Notice how the lack of defense leads to WAY less fouls, which leads to more consistent action and exciting plays. I don't want to see the best players get in a foul-baiting competition (especially with the GOAT embiid ruled out). I want to see the most talented basketball players in the world show off their unique and impressive skills while taking chances they wouldn't/couldn't in a normal game.

Bruh no need to read more if the first game you’ve seen was in 2021’.. Go check all star highlights from early 2000’s those are the games real basketball fans want to see, you got best players in the world and they make a joke out of this events, literally no defense played and even if someone pulls some crazy move it still wont go crazy.. tell me one exciting play from this year’s all star I’ll wait, but no doubt you get excited by anything now cause the level of intensity compared to early 2000’s and even 90’s is uncomparable
