Under the oven is a warming drawer. It keeps your cooked food warm. Or it can be storage.

We have this unit in the 2021 version. We were comparing Montana 377 FL but the quality of this was so much better. The sofa and office loveseat have a bar in the middle that will be very uncomfortable without a foam over it. The sofa is quite comfy for a nap. As far as insulation, we are living in it in Missouri this winter and are quite comfortable. It has an electric heat pump that works beautifully down to about 40F then we switch to propane. The water heater is propane or electric or both. The oven easily holds a 9x13 cake pan. Apparently there is a drawer in the 2022 that was not there in the 2021. The microwave is convection. The drawers in the island are large while the ones in the China cabinet are smaller. In the office, there is no room for a fixed ladder when the loveseat is open to a bed. Shower door is backwards compared to ours (should open from other side). The mattress is crap. The master closet is completely different this year (our w/d is on the right).

I really like this one - a lot. The mid-bunk room could very easily be turned into an office if needed as well, without any mods required. Plenty of storage everywhere and I don't even mind that these drawers and doors aren't soft closing. Another great review Myles.

Appreciate your videos but next time make sure your battery is charged up. Like your honesty about subfloor not being wrapped & no soft close drawers. Something most videos don't discuss is ability to have dishwasher under sink. They come in a wide variety of sizes now so would be good to know what size fits in certain models.

I don’t know to be completely honest. It should be a marine grade flooring under there, and the vinyl flooring over the slide will be water resistant as well. I haven’t heard of water issues, but it’s just something to notice knowing that keystone wraps their flooring in the slide out.

Actually, the drawer below the oven is a “warming drawer”. After something is finished cooking, it can be placed in this drawer, and it will stay warm without further cooking. Few people use it for this, but “technically”, that is its function.

I'm curious, do people use these upgraded RVs specifically for camping? They seem a little excessive. At that point why not go to a hotel, resort or even rent a house? Just curious... I've never been in an RV, especially like this that's like a mini-hiuse. Thanks!

Yes, a lot of people go camping in them. But, at this price point, many people are living in these either part or even full time. Is $110k for your permanent home expensive? Also, if you like to travel a lot let's say 4 weeks/yr at $200/night = $5,600. Multiply this by 10 and you're at $56k spent in 10 years (equivalent). Naturally the RV is double that, but you still own the product (renting vs owning), and you have a TON more flexibility. If you're the person who wants to drive into the woods and build campfires for a weekend twice per year, this type of RV isn't for you. Just my .02!

We have a 2019 42' Forest River Heritage Glen 5th wheel we use for glamping only. Most of these sized units are designed for full time use. I know that full time RVing seems like your going to be full time vacationing but that's not reality. Most full timers or owners of these sized units end up in a RV park 6' from their neighbor. We personally hate RV parks. We try to do 20 trips a year (mostly long weekends), which is a big commitment, takes a lot of planning and is expensive (400-1000 each trip). We take our trailer dry camping, to campgrounds, to festivals, concerts and weekend tailgates for college football games. We bought this trailer at auction and sold our 28' bumper pull trailer. Honestly more room is always better once set up. But very few spaces will fit this large of a trailer and your probably not going to take your semi sized trailer up a remote road. We have kids and always invite friends so having this large of a trailer is nice but we try to spend as little time as possible inside. Why go camp and spend all your time inside? I would have never bought this sized trailer if we did not get such an amazing deal at auction but it would be hard to go smaller now, until the kids are gone. With that said, at the current cost of trailers and gas and how difficult it is to reserve good campgrounds, a hotel is cheaper and easier to plan. But... there is nothing like crawling into your own bed at night no matter where you are.

Can you order with a queen bed set up? Can you ask for the waterproofing in the slide area when you order it? What are the lead times for ordering new ones?
@mylesrv
@mylesrv 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can order with a queen bed, but they won’t do something that they don’t normally do such as wrapping the flooring for one specific unit. And an order time all depends on what we already have in our system. You won’t have to place a brand new order to get a queen bed, we would just have to find one we already have ordered that hasn’t been built yet and change that order to a queen bed.

Beautiful!!! Are the cabinets sticker-wrapped or are they stained wood? Many times the drawer under an oven is a warming drawer. It looks like the floor is made from particle board instead of plywood which makes it more susceptible to water absorption and disintegration.

I assure you that mid bunk room ac is horrible. We have the 2021 keystone Montana and since it shared the duct with the other AC’s, there is almost ZERO air flow to the mid bunk/ office room.
@mylesrv
@mylesrv 2 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry to hear that the AC in the bedroom was not what you expected. However, The AC system in here is different than in a Montana. The Montana has a loft that the AC has to be ducted around, this does not. Unless you have a Montana different than the ones I’ve always seen that have the loft. I’d also be curious to know if your Montana has 2 or 3 ACs. Because I know a lot of 2021 models only had 2, where as a lot of 2022 models like this Solitude are ordered with 3.

Hey Tamie, he didn't specifically call it out, but you can add a quick-connect hose just to the left of the outdoor "kitchen", or there's a quick connect spot in the water hookup panel as well on the other side. Technically you could connect a hose from there to an external sink if desired.

Hey i appreciate the content but please clean these up a little bit. You dont need to explain potential functions and use of stuff like a stove or stairs. We got it. If you tighten these videos up to just do a full walkthrough and show the layout with some different unique amenities. Explaining the propane tanks for 2 minutes when they are on every single rv is exhausting and makes these videos way too long. If someone is shopping around they would habe to watch several hours of these videos and you explaining how curtains work. Its ridiculous. I hope you understand. Good luck.

If I managed any of the RVs you showcase I would have to end any representation of my product lines: why in the hell do you have to nit-pick every feature or benefits of my line. Most people have no idea of how the slides are wrapped or not, but still, the plywood isn't any ordinary plywood, some are hardenedor treated, some are more dense. As for soft-close drawers... let it go, you are supposed to be representing a product, point out features, highlight benefits... sell, sell, sell. When you were a sales representative did point out all the negatives in your line? Be truthful, be sure to know what the customer needs are, fulfill, make sale, make money, repeat!
@mylesrv
@mylesrv Жыл бұрын
I actually was a sales representative when I made this video and was a sales representative for quite a long time after this video. So yes, it has always been my philosophy to give an honest review of an RV because it’s not my job to “sell” people, it’s my job to INFORM people so they can make an informed decision. If you just want to be sold to and only ever hear positive things, I’m not the person for you.

You sound like a shady used car salesman. The type that knows you're selling junk and just wants to grab money. I'd take someone like Myles any day over some dishonest jackass like you. I'd rather hear the good and bad then be able to make an informed decision if I'm going to put down over $100k on something than have someone sugar coat everything making it seem like the potentially negative things are all kittens and rainbows. Keep up the awesome work, Myles! I enjoy your videos.
