To any young players coming up: I’m walking on at a D1 school right now and you guys need to understand that this is not what gets you signed. I guarantee you that 95% of college scouts who see this tape will pass right by it. Confidence is something that they look for, and there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of talking when it’s warranted. But talking after every bucket and getting up in the face of your opponents is completely out of line. Respect the game and the game will give back to you. I don’t claim to be a great player at all, but believe me when I say that this attitude hardly ever gets people signed. I’m not saying it never happens, it definitely does. But I’m just saying your odds of getting signed go up astronomically when you show some respect to your opponents and to the game.
