What valve stem type are you using? Schraeder or Presta?

I use presta. These pumps can accept both types.

As long as you match the topeak with consistency it doesn't matter how accurate it is as long as it's consistent

I agree. All of these pumps vary and the most important part is what you said, consistency. If you always know that this pump is a 5psi +/- against the topeak then you just need to account for that. I do have to say that I don't use my topeak as much anymore. Since these have a gauge on them I'm finding that I just use them now.

Is it accurate though? Have you checked it against say the topeak digital gauge that seems to be the most common accurate gauge.

Can it reseat a bead?

No I would not use these to reset a bead. In my bike bag I'll also keep a Co2 in there just for that reason. The Co2 is just for emergencies like a blown bead. Other than that, all I use now is this pump.
