Nothing like the smell of wet dog in the yurt to make it more homely. When the smell begins to stick to your clothes and furnishings, you might want to consider kenneling the dogs under the yurt at night, behind the electric fence, and that way the local bears will smell them first, and you will hear their barking second, if the bear decides that he is hungry enough to push on regardless.

Jake dude......did you know that they sell different size hole saws, it would save you from drilling hundreds of holes then using a jig saw to cut out the big hole, not to mention save you time....that's why you had to work into the night. You're all about working harder not smarter.

When you install the pipe make sure you have it so the creosote stays in the chimney if its not right it can leak out I am not sure but I think you have it in wrong please double check to make sure.

Wood ash has many uses,you can turn it into a paste with a little water for protection from mosquitoes or as a sunscreen as well. It can also be used the firm up your stool or bowl movements and the charcoal to soften/excelerate bowl movements if I remember correctly.

Too bad the door of the stove opens the wrong way. It will make operating the stove difficult as long as you have it there. Also, you installed the flue pipes upside down. First, it's a code violation, second, any creosote that condenses on the inside of the pipes will run down to the next joint and leak out onto the outside of the pipes, smell awful, and, be a fire hazard. Finally, I was always told to train a puppy/dog to walk and heel on your left side only. Appolgies for being so critical.

You should try ECO bricks for wood stoves, same as wood pellets but in brick form. a couple would burn 4 hours or more and are avail on a pallet. A pallet is equal to a full cord of hardwood in BTU"s and only takes 4' x 4' x 4' to store. GR8 VID and install :)

Probably Dog food (homemade or store bought) . Dogs are omnivores. Cats are carnivores. Humans are opportunistic eaters. They probably feed their cats awesome cat food and same with the dogs, since most animal foods (notice I said most, because some are like McD of the world) are made with a balanced nutrition for the animal in mind.

Is there a way to feed outside air to the mini stove in order to avoid using inside air? I did that with a box wood heater and It reduced the amount of wood we used each year. So, instead of 7 full cord, we used about 5 1/2 full cords of wood - a substantial reduction.
