I'm a new viewer, discovered CM this year and JJ is my absolute favorite character... she's really not forgettable or expendable if you ask me.. she's really important to the team and the show and is the character I relate to and love the most. JJ's awesome. I can somehow watch CM without Emily (my 2nd fav.) but no JJ will kill CM for me. JJ

@TheScumper She is more of a gun person. She supposedly has a 'crack' shot, and is rarely off target. See Season 3, Episode 9; Penelope. In the current season, it seems as though she may have more skills from her time away from the BAU. See Season 7, Episode 1; It takes a Village. Hope this helps.

@snippax AJ Cook is amazing... She's not my favourite actress or anything, but she's definitely good. How awesome would it be if Shelby's story somehow came to be JJ's backstory on Criminal MInds? That dream was sort of shot out of the window with the older-sister-suicide story, but one can still hope... :)
