Ive had the Mobius X8 for a year now at least 50-60 Moto days and 30-40 8 hour sledding days and its been great, the original cables (boa) frayed and they fixed and sent back in 4 days paid shipping and all they upgraded the cable to a sort of cord which still looks new. they are awesome for the fact you can custom fit them to your leg with different thickness foams I got a small and use the thinnest foam excypte for knee I use the thicker one holds it nice and snug. Definitely get knee brace socks , first rides they feel a bit uncomfortable behind the knee but now I CANNOT ride without them, they fit like a glove, long rides I put some hockey pad tape around the lower velcro strap. really good impact protection I destroyed my oil res on my xm summit and that would have put me out for the season.

the only problem i have with my mobius x8 is the tendon back plate it bunches up and piches my leg could it be that my knee braces are too big

In a lineup video like this there are two more topics you should definitely include. 1.) price. It's probably the most important factor that will get me to research a piece of gear further. 2.) comparison. Instead of 4 review videos edited together I want to hear how they compare against each other and if the price reflects the jump up or down in comparison to one another.
@RideRedRacer8 жыл бұрын
usually companies dont mention the price on videos like this because the price changes. 6 months down the road the price will be wrong then they are advertising a wrong price
@rmatvmc7 жыл бұрын
This is the reasoning behind it. We prefer the customer goes and checks out the most current and up to date sale price on our website. Helps with the life span of the video as well. You hit the nail right on the head *RideRedRacer*. Thanks - *Vinny*

how does the leatt knee braces stack up to others in its price range like the pod K4
@rmatvmc7 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend you check out our individual break down videos on both knee braces. This video is for the older Leatt C-Frame brace. It's not their new Pro Carbon Version which they made some changes to. I personally love the Pod K4. Very comfortable and the fact that you can refurbish them yourself is big + in my book. Thanks Leatt: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3PEaJJ3fLeplac Pod K4: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHSwp3SnotalY9U

how come the brace only worries about the knee movement but not knee cap protection with a fall straight onto the knees. ?why is there not a good brace that also fully protects the knee cap in a fall..?? i have a set of thor knee guards and they are awesome at protecting the cap but doesnt really help stopping the legiment movement.. do you have any models i should be checking out.?

The mobius' cable broke on one leg for me and the other leg's ratchet system broke. Best pair I've worn other than the durability

Have you contacted Mobius about this? They have great customer support. Not sure which pair you have, but they did update the cable and the dial to be more robust after the original version came out.

Hi guys. my english is not good so i do not really understand the video. I am running motocross for 1.5 years and looking for the perfect orthotics for me. I am small and very affectionate. My favorites are the Mobius Knee Brace or Pod Knee Brace. What do you say? Greetings and many thanks! :)

Yes, you can send them to Mobius and they will refurbish them for you. I've sent mine in (not for the strap) but to have them refurbished and the turnaround time was very fast. And they now use a nylon cord that is even better!~Chase

Which is best slim knee brace????
@rmatvmc7 жыл бұрын
They all have different sizes for skinny and large legs. Knee braces have been much better over the years when it comes to fitment on a variety of leg sizes. Just be sure to use the sizing guide for whichever you choose. But we out fit guarantee so if you don't like the fit, send them back and we'll give you free shipping for your first exchange. Cheers~Chase

Hmmm which one to get 🤔. Just getting back into riding. Tore my ACL 5 years ago and DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THAT SHIT AGAIN. I'd pay a $1000 for a good set of braces that guarantee protection.

It's a tough decision. Best advice i can give is read reviews and ask your questions on the product page to get answers from riders who have bought the brace.~Chase

On my second pair of EVS. My original RS 7's were comfortable and lasted forever. My second pair the RS 9 Carbons which are dang close to what this video shows, are uncomfortable and poorly designed. When you spend this kind of money on a brace its hard to justify getting another pair. I have worn them for 2 years and adjusted trimmed them as much as I can to get them to fit right. The buckle system catches on your pant leg when you put them on. They tighten while you ride because of the ratchet feature of the buckle system. They are very uncomfortable on the shins. They have held up over 2 years and about 250 hours of riding though. I would really discourage the EVS. Im am considering the Mobius or PODS now.

I had the predecessor to the POD K4 - called the K300, but basically the same thing. I now have the POD K8 knee braces. The reason I now have the K8's is that I put the K300's to the ultimate test and they basically saved my legs. Here is a video I made from my experience; kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWmuaH-wqryqrqc Personally, I am a HUGE fan of the POD knee braces, (for obvious reasons). Having said that, I am sure that any of the knee braces in this video would perform the same. I just know for a fact that the POD braces worked in ways I could not have imagined. I cannot think of any flaws with the PODs, other than a buddy of mine said that they dug into his chins a bit - probably because I have the widest hyper extension pieces in them. He has the Mobius and likes them, but said that they were hot at times (someone asked about air flow) - full disclosure - we are riding in the Texas heat a lot of the time. I've never noticed the PODs being hot. In fact, most of the time I don't even know I have them on. As far as the Alpine Star, and EVS, I have no experience with them so cannot comment. I do know one thing... not matter what you get, get knee braces and not knee guards.

how long did they last you? these braces are expensive i want one that will last.
@EddieMarak-EM27 жыл бұрын
Theoretically they will last forever. All of the parts are replaceable. I cracked the frame on my 300s, but a friend of mine is wearing them now (since I got the 8's). So they are going on about 3 years and have not had to have a single part replaced yet.

Jamie, I currently wear this knee brace and i have absolutely loved it! I've had them for well over a year now. I've ridden in other brands and i honestly couldn't tell you if one has more airflow than another. Truth is, when i'm riding with gear on, I never stop to see if i can feel air flow. Maybe you've experienced something different. But ultimately, I couldn't tell any real difference. What i CAN tell you is that I've really enjoyed them and i'm sure you will too! Hope this helps. Happy riding!~Chase
