Thank you Chad for the review. Being a veteran with bad knees, that big cockpit space would be great. It is expensive, can't afford one yet. My oldest son loves his kayack. He said that he'll never get any other one unless they make drastic improvements to the 120. One thing not covered is some states require it to be registered since it is motorized. Since my sons introduced me to kayack fishing, I've gotten off the couch and back fishing again. Thank you all for helping the veterans.

I’ve had my oldtown autopilot 120 for about 4 months now and it is an absolute fishing machine. Standing and fishing all day is a game changer. Only cons if any to me is that it is extremely heavy and it’s slow compared to putting a aftermarket motor on other kayaks. Great video chad.

If you are trolling, often slow is the key. I don't think they designed it for bass tournaments with everyone racing out "hair on fire". Out here in the West, trout, kokanee, salmon, steelhead, walleye don't require speed, and it is an awesome fishing machine.

Spot on review Chad! I've had my AP136 for 13 months (5'11"; 270lbs) and absolutley love it. It has literally changed my life from a bank fisher to a tournament contender. I car topped on my Xterra for a while but was happy to move to a trailer. Had to try a few rigs for my landing gear (busted my add-on tracks, replaced the factory rear tracks with alumimum) but never use them since moving to a trailer launch. I mounted a harbor freight hoist in my garage and lift it directly off the trailer to a storage rack above my car so I dont have to park outside. Yes, its expensive (stressful investment that I dont regret) but still cheaper than a new bass boat and you can go more places (especially if your docks are dried up). Cant say enough good things about it (and spot lock) and I hope you get the same enjoyment in your future trips.

I've had my AP 120 since August 2020. I use a 100ah Lithium for the motor. Ran out of power only once. It was at the end of a tournament running the motor almost 9 hours straight. It drained within easy paddling of the ramp. I use a 30ah Lithium for lights and fish finder. I used velcro to secure the 30ah in the hull. I've added some after-market mods from Navarre. Using a trailer allows me to easily launch and get out of the water without help. I love this kayak. I had 3 other kayaks before the AP 120.

I recommend a scupper plug for the scupper hole in the bow where the transducer cable comes through lol in rough water when you hit a wave head on you’ll have a geyser spraying you in the face and on the 106MK, that is where the motor power connector is. Great in depth review Chad. I agree with pretty much what you had mentioned. After 2 seasons of ownership, heres the list of my cons: -Having to register it -MK motor reliability/warranty. The collar piece wore out on mine and seized up. OT replaced it at no cost. But this was only a season in, with meticulous maintenance on my part. It worries me the warranty is only 2 yrs on the motor. -hatch up front is way too small. Wished it were at least an 8” or larger -no drain cut outs for the cupholders. Really?? Might seem minor but water get in there and pools up. I carry a small sponge to drain it out. Annoying. Thats about it for the cons. Youve already mentioned price and weight. Otherwise the absolute #1 reason I own this yak is for spot lock. Anchoring in the ocean can be very dangerous. Spotlock (along with the puck sensor) eliminates that completely.

Thanks Chad that was a great video, it's amazing how detailed you get with these things. I have the 136 model. agree it is a bit heavy but a cart does help a lot. Dang! Nice boat. But wooooooooooo, that's a price tag, with battery and rigging... That's not in the budget, so says the wife.

Nice rig for deeper water. My problem with any of these center drive units be it motorized or pedal is the draft. My 22 foot bay boat with a trolling motor drafts the same...NG. I spend allot of time crossing shallow flats in Florida. The center drive units would be useless. On my Nucanoe Unlimited I have an xi3 on the front that is good for spot locking But on the rear a Torqeedo 1103 ac that can kick up and I can trim it up to run in 6-8" of water.Hundred of hours of use and the paddle has never been out of its holder. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5iXl2iNq61shrc

They just need to make it in some better colors! The two colors are terrible IMO. I'll take camo....

The cameraman literally ruined this video by focusing on Chad instead of the kayak, for the majority of this video, you only get to see a tip of the kayak!

This is an overview video where I’m talking about the features. I literally covered that in the video saying that it would be in three parts and when we do the On the Water review it will give us a much better opportunity to do all of the features with close ups and real world video. We will try to do better in the future about showing more close ups of the actual features for these walkthrough videos.

Please keep camera on kayak, no reason to show yourself at all times.

This is not even close to the best motorized kayak, how about the only kayak that comes motorized. I have a Native Titan 13.5 that I have mounted where the pedal drive goes powered by a Dakota Lithium 100ah battery and it is light years better than anything Old town has on the market. My Titan is bigger, wider, holds more weight, has more storage, steers better, handles rough water better, the list goes on. I will end this here as what you are saying is more of a paid promotion than actual facts. I would put any amount of money that my Titan would out perform this Old Town any day.
