Tbh, Booksmart in all honesty is my #2 of the year. I love everything about it. The film stuck around and constantly is on my mind since watching it for the first time. I’ve rewatched it several times (probably more than any other film this year). The jokes still lands just as much as they do with multiple rewatches as they did the first time. Such a good film. Not the best film of 2019 but certainly one of my favorites.

Austin, I truly don’t think we will get another year in the movie/film industry like 2019 again. This year had everything and the Kitchen Sink. Just off the top of my head from the TV industry, Disney+ and the end of Game of Thrones. Just think about the amount of huge events that we had in Film. The Last Toy Story movie, a sequel to frozen, the last Skywalker Star Wars movie, the conclusion of the first 3 phases of the MCU, The Joker, a Godzilla movie, a Martin Scorcese movie, a Quentin Tarantino movie. These movies were events. And those are just the blockbusters. The Lighthouse, Parasite, Marriage Story earn the right to be called masterpieces. There’s things like Knives Out. And I still feel like I’m forgetting about so much. Let’s not take for granted just how awesome 2019 was for movies. I think it’s up there with 1994 and other years as some of the best in film history.
