That time I was staying in PG and I did not like the PG food so I bought this one for boiling eggs and making Maggies. But I tried so many things in it like cooking rice, daal, sabji.. etc although it is little difficulties while cooking rice but it can cook. Now I am living in an flat i have everything like gas stove, induction but still we are using it for boil eggs, water. It has auto on and off features. I can say, I use it daily from 8 years. Even after using from 8 years it looks new, working perfectly.

By not cleaning it when not being used. Jokes aside, if you're still worried, you can attach a wide cellotape over the switch, then wash the rest. Remove the tape when you're done.

@@mchakraborty5890 it's a natural behaviour of the device It works on its own principle, i mean the base of the kettle should have moisture all the time, if u want to cook egg curry or chicken curry put some oil before turning it on... put onions or some vegs within 1 or 2 min so it will not turn off, we need to adapt to the device, understand the system how it behaves ...
