Just received my Nama J2 juicer two days ago and I love it. The directions are very clear and I read them very carefully. I love that it has a small footprint and fits under my cabinets. It is very easy to assemble and to clean. I love that I don't have to cut my items up small to fit in a feeder. I can easily juice a whole Apple or just cut it in half . The materials in the juicer are very high quality. I already had an Omega 8006 and loved it and I will keep it for making a quick glass or two. I now look forward to making my juice. It is fun and quick. I am 78! Thank you John for all you do to help us select and benefit from our juicers. I so appreciate knowing about this juicer.

So glad you love this juice so I just heard about it today and I also have an Omega 8006 I think I'm going to ask my wonderful brother to get this for my birthday present later on this year cuz this juicer really does look outstanding. I'm so impressed by being able to put a whole Apple in there or let's say take a cucumber and cut it once and just throw it in there as you know with the 8006 you have to cut it up in the much smaller pieces.

Okay, received my Nama J2 today. I am DELIGHTED! Not only does the pulp come out very dry, but this machine is super quiet, and an absolute breeze to clean up, compared to my last juicer. (It was a cheap knock off, masticating juicer, that cost just under $200.) This J2 is FANTASTIC! I layered my veggies and fruits as instructed, with chopped kale on bottom, followed by lime, apple, pear, ginger, and 4 carrots. This wonderful machine quickly chewed through that, so I fed it 8 more carrots, and enjoyed about 20 oz of delicious juice. All the pieces were easy to take apart and spray clean. The only piece that required much attention was the screen. A quick brush with my bottle brush and that piece was clean as new. I am overjoyed with this purchase!!

I bought this juicer directly from Nama. It is definitely a game changer. I made up 3 batches of juice in no time. It cleaned up easily too. However, not all the pulp came out dry, but it's the usual stuff that doesn't come out dry with any juicer. I love it. Definitely worth the money.

Yay!!!! I saw this juicer on another you tubers channel and came straight over to see if you’d done a review on it yet. Just ordered with your link! I don’t mind cleaning the juicers (I have an omega I’ve ordered from you in the past), but the prep, and feeding time I would have to take out of my day when juicing for a family of 6 really makes it hard to stay motivated. I’m beyond excited for this new design!!! Thank you so much for your knowledge, reviews and inspiration to stay healthy!

I was very unimpressed by the first Nama & turned off by the misleading social media promotions. Also saw the comments in their Facebook group (where there were a lot juicing newbies due to social media promoting) were heavily monitored to the point where any comment that pointed out an issue was immediately deleted. It was a complete turnoff to support the company. Your review is the only one I would trust on this juicer. As a daily juicer I am considering adding this juicer to my already full countertop Bec of the time savings. Thank you, John! I’ll buy from you if I decide to purchase.

Thank You. I have seen alot of "Fluff" with the nama juicers in general due to the affiliate relationships they have. Honestly, I really wasnt a fan of the Nama 5800 model. That being said, I do like the Nama J2, it is truly new and different and can be a game-changer for people that want to save time and batch juice. That being said, I had to "retrain" myselt to juice in batches instead of feeding each item.

I have the h 200 The hopper works great and is literally identical in some respects given that they are both made in the same factory. The h200 cleans soooo easy. But the h200 for sure gets more pulp in the juice given that it has no metal mesh. I simply strain it out with a strainer as it enters the juicer container. I’m very happy with the h200 but I would be very tempted to try out this baby. This nama looks great! I would have to try it myself to say if I would like it more than the h200. Same hopper. Different juicing techniques. H200 easier to clean, but more pulp.
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
I have not tested the H200. If it were me, I would get the J2. Why? It costs $150 less. The H200 screenless design puts too much pulp in the juice for my liking. Nama has better customer service in the USA than Hurom USA from the feedback I have recieved.

1) I show what it looks like after its done juicing. How dry is cucumber pulp? Depends if the cukes are HARD (english) or soft (field grown). More firm produce is better extracted. yield is NOT much different than other high end vertical juicers, the key to this machine is less prep and batch juicing. 2) I show how much pulp is left in hopper in this video

It puts a lower amount of pulp in the juice compared to most of the other vertical juicers I have tested, It depends on WHAT you are juicing as to how much you can make before you must clean. For example, I made 6 quarts of green juice, and did not have to take it apart to clean during the process.

@secondyaya

I watched someone juice with this and then clean up, including 2 done by Nama. Was very impressed with the juicing part, but the cleanup, not so much. Seems like a lot of parts and scrubbing to do. Especially if you do li a lot of carrots like I do and large volumes. Plus, it says you need to dry completely before reassembling. I often have juiced, washed, and reassembled my other two juicers immediately. I still have my GSE and Omega NC 800. Love them both. But the NC 800 I can clean in less than 2 minutes so I love it for the ease of use and clean up. Plus I had figured out how to cut my vegetables come and fruit so that it just self feeds and I rarely use a tamper. Will be interesting to see how this one holds up. Thanks for your demo.

Cleaning the GSE/Pro is a huge hassle. I can’t see this one being worse than that.
@secondyaya
@secondyaya 2 жыл бұрын
@@landonp.4073 , I also have a GSE, and yes, it is a bear to clean, though I have used it several times when I did a juice fast, or was healing a particular issue. But, because of the cleaning of the GSE(and others I've owned since 1994) I use the NC800 most of the time now. But, since there's no to little time spent cutting, and prep time, and if you can just put your fruits and veggies in, maybe it will all balance out.

The NC800 is the easiest to clean :) Takes me 80 seconds! The Omega VSJ843 is my easiest to clean vertical juicer that takes me 3 minutes to clean. The Nama J2 does take me longer to clean I estimate about 5 minutes I personally would rather clean the Nama J2 than a Green Star Pro, but would rather clean the VSJ843 over the Nama J2.. That being said, the J2 will save you time WHILE juicing for only a small increase in the cleaning time. But its important to factor in how much do you hate cleaning? If you hate cleaning then get a nc800, despite it will take longer to use. Each juicer has its own set of pros and cons.

John, Thank you for this fabulous video. I have a question. I have a 20 year old Tribest Greenstar Juicer. Is the quality of the juice coming out of the Nama J2 Cold Press juicer equal in quality to the juice form the slow juicing Greenstar? ( in terms of oxidation ect)
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
No. The Green Star Juice makes a higher quality juice in my opinion because it grinds to a smaller particle size than the Nama J2 to extract more nutrients. Plus the nama J2 tends to put a little more air into the juice (oxidation) although the green star can also cause alot of excess foam if juicing too many leaves and not enough roots.

What is the duty cycle on this? Or the time it takes before it starts to get hot? Especially considering that it would take more power cut the fruit before it juices it.

This machine has a 30 minute duty cycle as listed in the instruction manual. This machine IS for home use only. Commercial use will void the warranty. I have used the Nama for up to 1 hour straight without issue, although I would not recommend doing this more than 1x a day as the juicer needs to COOL down after a long use, before the next use.

Hi John, I'm almost sold on buying this one. Would you recommend it for celery juice? I'm looking for the best yield and least oxidation. I had just bought the omega celery juice one, but it gets warm, and the pulp is warm too, so I'm returning it. Also, I'm in Europe, so it's harder to find distributors of these brands. Thank you so much for your videos!

John, how does it do with straight celery? I have the vertical commercial Kuvings and celery strings do get caught if not cut up small and clogs easily.
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
I tested it with straight celery, and amazingly, the processing blade cuts up the strings enough AND the outlet port design work well so that I have not been able to clog it thus far. I will make a detailed video doing like two batches of celery coming up with this machine :) So far I can say this juicer handles celery better than any other vertical juicer I have tested (without cutting)

Is the Omega VSJ843 still your favourite or Nama J2 is now the best in your opinion?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
Currently the VSJ843. But I will do a comparison of the J2 and the VSJ843 and in that video, I will likely have a new favorite. There are pros and cons to each machine. Overall I am liking the J2 at this point and use it more than the VSJ843, but not ready to commit to it yet. Need to do more side-by-side tests.

while the J2 can juice SINGLE fruits, and actually works well based on my testing, I do NOT recommend any slow juicer for juicing berries, it is not the ideal juicer to do so. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKK1qJ6VmdmdhqM for my views on this topic

I need to replace my Omega VSJ843. Does this unit juice leafy greens just as well as the VSJ?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
just about, although due to the way this works, it may not work on straight leafy greens as they might just rotate around the hopper. Also I have noticed when juicing mostly leafy greens in the J2 it creates more foam than a VSJ843 would.

Hello, do you recommend this Nama or Omega Nc800 or 900 for juicing? mostly green juice.Thanks
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
While this machine can juice straight greens, its importantant to have "weight" on them so they get pushed into the processing blade. Furthermore vertical juicers generally make more foam when juicing greens than a horizonal. so if you wanted to FOCUS on leafy greens, I would go with the NC900 while they are still availalble. Although within the next 45 days I will be announcing a NEW horizonal juicer available in the USA made in Korea, It will likely be my favorite due to its revolutionary features, but I have not tested yet to ensure it works as well as its features on paper.

Hi John, thank-you for your amazing video’s! I have been following you for years. I just watched your video on the Dynapro Vacuum Blender and Bag. Can you kindly tell me which one you prefer. I like the fact that you can seal it and it would seem to stay fresher! Is the quality at better in the Dynapro? I do like the high quality yield in this new Nama J2. When I make a decision I will purchase it from Discount Juicers.Thank-you.
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 жыл бұрын
Each method has its own set of pros and cons. I switch off. Depends on the recipe and how I am feeling that day. If I want juice "easy" then I choose the J2. If I want "the most nutrients" I will choose the dynapro + bag. If I am juicing EXPENSIVE/RARE or ingredients with HIGH/SPECIAL phytonutrients I only use the vacuum blender, ie: my turmeric, ginger, ginseng, rosemary juice. It also depends on the recipe. Some recipes wont juice in the dynapro, such as the corn on the cob!

Looks like a superior design. Now, how does it work with something like celery that's only cut into 2 - 3 inch pieces instead of 1/8 inch? And, where are they hiding the vacuum pump?

No Vacuum pump :) Celery Can be cut into like 6" pieces! the inside processing blade cuts it smaller so YOU don't have to. I have tested extensively with uncut celery, and it works great without clogging in my tests.
