i think some of these should be considered "cost effective" (or something else) instead of better, like at 1:11 gunboat isnt inherently better than a destroyer, a destroyer fleet will win against a gunboat fleet, ignoring micro as a factor. The boons about gunboat is that it can choose its battles and micro due to its speed but doesn't have the beefiness of a destroyer or battleship+ to hold off a naval attack

Buddy recently my Destroyer got destroyed by 2 gunships. Gunships are indeed more cost effective against Destroyers in terms of preparation time and combat.

This is only damage comparison to a tranport ship. So dont expect much from a hovercraft against battleship battle since battleship have more health+range. I just want to point that out.

The problem here is that there is a naval cap. The cost-Damage Ratio doesn't matter when your opponents have 7 battleships while you have 7 gunboats. While 1 battleship has more range, health and damage than a gunboat. Submarines are actually one of the best units to get while comparable to statistics of a destroyer. It cannot be damaged by planes or other naval vessels.

yes but how much does it cost for 7 battleships vs 7 gunboats? you also have to account for the gunboats higher speed which you can lead battleships into watermines. gunboats are better early game. you also need to research subs

@@skankhunt-zh1mo and only in early game, unless your team has a lack of income, I’d advise to not use gunboats. Also planes such as stealth fighter or space fighter can place mines as well.

keep research in mind for submarine, the cost is more like 300 (too lazy to calculate) when you include research and research centers

Each research centers are 100$ while the sub research cost is 75 and I believe you only need to wait 2 Minutes for using 1 research center to research subs

You are comparing it with the cost, the sub isn’t better than a battleship. It’s almost three time worse in health, it does half the damage that the battleship does. You should call it “what is the most cost effective naval unit” not “what is the best naval unit”

This was probably unfair since you only compared about the firepowers. The destroyers have more health than the gun boats. Besides, the destroyers can get rid off planes very fast and it can attack submarines which helps you out in a lot of situations. Submarines are very fragile to destroyers. As a result, if your enemies have destroyers, your submarines will be useless. The hovercraft is not strong either. The destroyers can easily take it down. This video is a shame

Um if your going to compare these Fairly you should do just 1 gun ship and 1 destroyer and you did not do the aircraft carrier. Plus sub can only be scene by destroyers so that gives it an advantage

destroyers are actually the best naval units since they can multi-target an aerial unit and any other unit at the same time and they're the only other naval unit that can hit submarines other than you know it submarines but destroyers do more damage than submarines do making them better. Also, this is just my opinion so don't be like: "Oh this is not true blah blah blah" we all good now?

You have to look at Speed, HP, Range. Right now Battleships are busted because no units can go toe to toe with it except subs which are extraordinarily weak due to them being destroyed by destroyers. Battleships can't be beaten by any other unit unless the opponent puts in exponentially more money, and BS has an insane range which makes it insane on many maps with super crystals near the coast.

Subs are the best because they can become immune to damage if you cloack them, they are also one of the fastest boats

@@NTNinja subs dont have that much hp and destroyers can chase them to a point where the subs wont be able to damage anything, also you can still see cloaked submarines through their health bar, just turn on the setting "health bar always shown"
