Jim Otto, Mike Webster, Mel Hein are the only centers in the convo for best Center ever. Otto definitely miles better than Dwight but I respect that you don’t really know much about him. I think you should have stuck with Alan Page over Emmitt Smith. The one that irritated me a bit was Bruce Matthews not being over Adam V. Terrell Davis is the greatest running back of all time if you’re going by peak. No running back has ever been more impactful for a team in the time that they played for that team. TD basically carried the Broncos to 2 SBs before he lost his knees. Best post season RB stats ever. Post season is where it matters. Dude had like near 1k rushing yards combined over back to back post seasons. League MVP and SB MVP.

I think the problem with lists or brackets like these is that in the middle of them the nature of what we call greatest of all time changes. I personally don’t like emmitt smith or Tom Brady, but why is Tom credited with all his success and better yet, why is he the “greatest” when instead the term should be most accomplished. Emmitt smith definitely is the most accomplished, but it always seems like in these lists, qbs are allowed to skate by on most accomplished, but running backs are not. Again this is not me trying to say emmitt should be the best cause I don’t believe he is either, but it is an indictment on the word choice we use for choosing the best player at a given position.
