Absolutely right on the point of individual's culture should be respected. If it's there in someone's culture let them enjoy that food, it's a tradition passed over from a long chain of generations and we are nobody to comment on it. Everyone has their own choice to have any kind of food. And North east is the only region where people enjoy their food and tradition without anyone's judgement and they are still maintaining it. I am not saying that other regions are not close to their traditions but North east Indians are genuinely special and even their next generation embrace the culture gracefully without finding any flaws. बांबू शुट ला मराठीत वास्ता म्हणतात. कोकण,वसई, विरार, पालघर ह्या भागात ह्याची भाजी बनवतात .पावसाळ्यात हे कोवळे कोंब साफ करून बारीक चिरुन मिठाच्या पाण्यात ठेवल जात त्या मुळे त्याचा उग्र वास कमी होतो.पण सगळ्यांनाच ही भाजी आवडेलच असे नाही

As a foodie myself. This is one of the episode I was waiting for. Apan sagle marathi manus khaas karun mumbai che. Common cuisines saglyanach mahit astat and foodie loka navin kahi tari sarkhach shodhat astat. This is one of items I have placed in my bucket list to try. Some more opinions : 1. You can explore more food items from other parts of the india in a similar way. As you all know Indian culture is very diverse and differs vastly. I have tried some similar varities in sikkim. They had this rice beer, but the name was something different. also sikkim area is heavily influenced by neighbouring nepal and tibetian cuisine. 2. There are bhavans in vashi which have their own regional restaurant, but I haven't tried them as to how authentic they are. 3. Korean/Japanese/SEAN food are in high demand and our youth follows them like anything. You can try making episode on their cuisine. There are lots of ramen/pho and sean cuisine restaurants which has poped up in mumbai/navi mumbai from budget friendly to premiuim ones. And yes. Kudos to indrajeet for ellaborating the details on culture and history. Lets keep up the same enegry in future episodes.

Northeast food is good no doubt, but don't compare it with Maharashtrian food. Vindaloo is a different recipe altogether, don't say it's nothing. And bamboo shoots are so common in the Goa and Kokan region, maybe the preparation is different. Please don't compare different cuisines.

Travelling can be so enriching in terms of gaining knowledge about different cultures.
