May I add that Epica notebooks are well suited for corporate environments and come in sizes ranging from med (A5 - 6x9inches) all the way up to XL (B4 - 11x15inches).

I like the elastic straps on the Quo Vadis Habana and the Blackwing. They stay tight to the back cover when not in use. I'm currently using a Leuchtterm Bullet Journal for work. It's the perfect size, but I wish it had a tighter strap like the other journals.

Maruman Mnemosyne 194 B5. My everyday notebook for over 10 years. Nice paper, nice cover, wire bound, not indexed, not numbered. Great notebook.

Hi Kurt! I've purchased a few Maruman spiral bound notebooks to DIY a ten year journal. With your experience do you think Maruman notebooks hold up well in the long run? Have you ever experienced the pages tearing off or pages tearing from the perforated line?

I ordered the one with the numbered pages and index. That plus the 2 bookmarks makes it almost impossible to pass up. Especially if you want to stay organized which as a software engineer I may need to

You are right, Rhodia has amazing paper. I have to plug Tomoe River and Mnemosyne paper though, the best fountain pen paper I've yet found. Clairfontaine gets honorable mention from my experience, decent paper but no better than Rhodia.

I love Tomoe River paper as well. I haven't had a notebook with Mnemosyne paper yet. I think Rhodia uses Clairfontaine paper in their US notebooks.

Do you happen to know which notebook will handle brush pen the best? Also would any of you guys recommend me any brush pens (or any other pens) that would be great for coloring? Ex) Drawing and coloring for human anatomy body parts.

Sorry I don’t really use brush pens. Any notebook with heavier paper weight (gsm) will work better...
