well you have to be good in order to be able to play and mitigate bad matchups and optimize character strengths. One of the EVO marvel 3 winners plays big body but has optimized the play style where he just needs one touch and you get absolutely flexed on.

jcjjcc you should check out Abegen's matches against Noel Brown (comes back from 0-2), DatVIP, he has a few casuals with KBR and Kusoru too! Abegen has one of the most entertaining teams and it's extremely satisfying to watch these mindless Virgil players get beaten.

The fact that this team wasn't put together because of synergy, but because he wanted to use the 3 highest health characters and MADE the synergy is why Abegen and his play/team make me wet. Whens Marvel I think I understand what you're trying to say, but the dry teams all have dry play at this point. No decision making can really change that. For example, there's nothing a Zero May Cry team can do that is exciting anymore. Everything they do is boring and dry. Also, the creative teams ARE the cool ones.

I think people who aren't familiar enough with Marvel especially with how 6 years of it has passed overlook that at this point, its not about the characters. Its about players and their consistency. There is a reason why Cloud805 on his best day is one of the best ZMC players. Its not because he plays them cut and dry but because he is consistent. Otherwise if he's not, well he risks going 0-2 against players who are having better days than he does. Or that RayRay also plays strong characters but his Magneto plays differently than Fchamps, his Doom is as consistent but his Sentinel the best in MVC3 at this point. Creativity still exists to a degree but in high level play, consistency always wins out regardless of the former.

ABEGEN. CHEAP! For real though, Abegen's team is one of the prime example of how team synergy can remove fatal flaws of individual characters. Sure, in a one character situation he might not do well (although he's shown despite the odds he can make the comeback anyway), but with all three characters on deck he can decimate entire teams. It's really a sight to see.

Edward Park It's not inconceivable. Morrigan and Sentinel can make an efficient shell with most other characters, and Arthur has a number of very underrated strengths. There are people playing that character at high level. Look for tournament matches featuring Marvisto or Bangbus, for some ideas. Of course you'd check out ChrisG and Ray Ray game play for ideas on using Morrigan or Sentinel. You just need to be willing to sink the time into learning the match ups versus the top tiers .
