Hello friends! We are doing a yearly round-up of makeup favourites for 2023. I can't believe we're already saying goodbye to 2023 (as cliche as it sounds lol). wow I clicked as soon as I saw the thumbnail and saw a lot of cool toned products that seem not too light pastel but also not too greyish dark which are two problems I always when searching for cool toned makeup. Totally down my alley, thank you for the video.

aw, thank you so much! yes, i think i did have a phase of light pastel-ly makeup too but i still enjoy makeup products falling in the light-medium to medium tonal value category haha. which products speak to you the most! would love to know 🫶🏻

@@itskrystle I loved the dasique blueberry sorbet blush, maybe because I only saw their previous 4 color (super pale) cool toned blusher but I was pleasantly surprised that it had enough pigment to not be too ghastly whilst still looking natural. I've only used Rare beauty blush in the shade happy which is a really pretty neutral to cool pink but I'll definitely try out hope too. Also made me want to try out the Romand peony palette.

@itskrystle @itskrystle actually i do think summer cool really suits you well, those pinkish vibe of colours making your complexion looks brighter, and livelyer. Andddd.....you are looking way more youthful after you change your colour pallete and techniques, and also wardrobe of course. But i think it will be a nice assurance if you take the test twice or maybe more, coz who knows it could be some human error included or anything else, who knows. btw, Love your video always.

What shades of Mac paint pots do you recommend for soft summers??

hoooonestly, i think i like soft ochre on myself a little more. despite it being a yellow-base colour, it does not pull orange on me (something very common for alot of warm-leaning coloured products). it stays true to colour, cancels out the discolouration on my lids and even alone on my eyes, it blends well for my skintone. it doesn't stand out and it's not a jarring colour on the lids. for painterly, it pulls off a dusty pink on me and it does cancel out my discolouration. granted, i need to play around with it a little more but at the moment, i prefer soft ochre more. edit: depends on your makeup pref, if you like those rosy, mauvey, taupes, then i think you can go for the painterly. if you like something more neutral/just to cancel discolouration, soft ochre is a good option.

As someone who is also cool toned (but tanner than you), I would love to see an updated video on your colour analysis! While I think my analysis is fairly accurate, what I'm bothered by is the limited cool toned options available in Asian beauty!! What if I'm not a soft pink or lavender girlie 😭😭😭 of course there are some outliers like Romands grey toned palette, but I hope that more cool toned options that are not pink or too light come out!! Rant aside, have you tried sahursart's complexion pen or cream blushes? They look really cute! Love your videos as always :)

proabbly gonna do like a before vs after personal colour analysis video - how my wardobe, fashion styles changed, etc... personal colour has become available here in singapore but i checked prices and its like $500sgd for one consultation 🥸 that's crazy expensive ( if i topped up another $100+ i could take a flight out to korea! haha) i get you, girl. you're right, not many asian brands do cool-toned palettes. i can think of the dusty on the nude palette by romand (its another purple palette but deeper 😗). personally, here are some alternative western brand palettes that i constantly reach out for: natasha denona's retro palette, colourpop stone cold fox palette, pat mcgrath mothership X moonlight seduction, huda beauty rose quartz palette. also, no i have not! planning to try sahursart products in 2024 🥰

Hey beautiful! Have you tried the Laneige Neo Matte Cushion? When I first used it I was like „how am I ever gonna go back to not wearing this?“. My skin looked so perfected, the finish is a beautiful matte (not chalky) and the coverage is insane without looking cakey 😩🤌🏻 it’s so so good and has become my „I need to look flawless today“ type of cushion foundation! As for palettes, I recently purchased the Peony Nude Garden Palette because you have mentioned it so much but I have yet to try it. exactly, it's become my favorite cushion now, it looks so insanely skin like from up close like that I thought "oh this has no coverage' but when backed up and looked into a big mirror I was surprised to see most of my imperfections covered decently. Plus it just stays the same throughout the day, it's the most consistent cushion I've ever used.

yes i do own that! i looove the formula of it too but i think because i got the shade 21C, i think it pulls too pink on me (despite how i'm supposedly 'cool-toned'). so it kinda affected the frequency of how often i wear it. i do own the mini-liquid version of it too so i wear slightly more often and i gotta mix it with another warm-toned foundation just to kinda even it out a little 😅 omg, i hope you will like the palette 🥹 please keep me updated on how it works for you. merry xmas girl 🎄⛄️
