Cody Sprecher No dying in a Switch Palace is worst. Knuckles is unable to jump high enough to get over those spikes, so you have to back track and go the other way. The Switch Palace is supposed to be a piss easy walk to activate the Switch with enemies you're suppose to gain lives off of and Elliot still died by bottomless pit.

X6 investigators are largely based on small or inoffensive creatures with a few exceptions. A replicating flea. A dragonfly. Dung beetle. Oyster. Tortoise. Junk shark. A wolf\werewolf. Aaaand a firebird.

Ahh, quite the collection of moments indeed. Not to sound nitpicky, but my understanding of the “saying it gives you more time but it really doesn’t” in X5 is this: When X/Zero gets back from getting the last part for the Enigma, the Maverick Hunters then take an hour to set the cannon up. Then, after it fires, if it fails, the Eurasia’s redirection gives the lost hour back. So in a way, yes, you’re given more time, but it’s just an hour that would’ve been lost if it was a total miss.

Ted makes a good point. Most of these deaths could've been reversed by rebuilding their bodies using their data cores. Ever seen Big Hero 6?

One of the the biggest problem with the X series storywise, for me at least, is the fact that these characters being robots is almost completely irrelevant. If you removed or replaced some story elements and plot points, like, perhaps, the Reploids straight-up being humans with super powers and they go rogue, then not much would be changed in terms of story. Not once is the idea of rebuilding these dead characters brought up, and because of that these characters might as well not be robots.

Well in the Mega Man archie comics (which are great btw) explains that destroying a robot's I.C chip destroys there personally and the I.C chips are to complicated to reproduce but they can still rebuild the body of the robot but for some of the robots in the X series could of easily been rebuilt with there personally intact like Iris because her I.C chip,from the damage, was not destroyed ,but some like Gate could not comeback with his personally only his body hell even Vile shouldn't have been able to comeback.

I always assumed that was how it worked anyhow. Ted even said as long as the central data core is intact you should be able to rebuild them good as new. The only time the game ever takes advantage of the fact robots can be rebuilt is with Sigma and Zero. Which just makes it more inconstant because whenever Sigma dies he blows up.

45:33 so people not familiar get it (I learned this playing it and the man told be, tbh) through X4 to X6 there is a glitch in Zero's saber dash that if you stop the dash mid-slash, the next dash attack bypasses invincibility frames, so you can continuously cancel a dash attack as soon as it hits and still deplete their health with little effort. It's also not exactly a tricky glitch to pull as the cancel doesn't require a specific frame or pixel, you just have to cancel the dash after the attack. Why it stuck all the way to X6 likely is laziness since they could easily fix the glitch despite being in the same engine due to the time between X4 and X5. P. S. are you picking up other series from them to compile?

Though honestly, Mijinion is the one that bothers me because of the opportunity for a very cool name. "Replicating Flea", "Multiplier Flea", other things. The X5 retranslations for the Legacy versions really bring home how uncreative or horribly generic some Maverick names are, literally translated.

And well, seeing how he ran the franchise into the ground as much as he could and his West fetishizing didn't help Capcom's numbers, adding that he has been on a neverending downward spiral since then... Capcom seems to have won from that exchange. People love them nowadays and Megaman compilations actually sold, they actually also seem to be taking their time for their coming Megaman games despite being simple enough to make. With him it was one every single year, quality be damned, so yawn, if X5, Z1 and 2, ZX series are anything to go by, X6 would've been bad with him anyway.

Because at some point I want to LP it, I actually took the time to find something I memorized: The nightmare effects are implemented as soon as you clear a stage, the red portrait indicates that the effect changed and this change remains until you revisit a stage that is connected to a nightmare. Also, two effects are carried over each time.

Their CPU/AI/whatever can survive with its memories as long as it's not fried, hell rebooting exists in this universe (now that I'm playing Zero series he has no memory when it starts as he was rebooted, losing all memory of most events and not even able to regain all of them, because his CPU likely couldn't salvage everything). X's CPU is even an exposition ghost... Hell, this series makes a literal second X! Aaaaahhhh my head hurts!

It requires a bit of practicing, but it isn't that hard to get the pattern down. Once you find the "dash + shoot = victory" groove, Storm Eagle becomes a pushover. Nowhere near as pathetic as Toad Man, though.

They're robots. They have a CPU, which hosts their memories and (I presume) their AI, or their "soul" as it were. In other words, as soon as the robot's CPU (their soul) is intact, they can be put in a new body or be repaired. Hell, the Zero series begins with Ciel rebooting him.

@@shis1988 okay Yes, if the CPU or whatever houses everything for a reploid is intact, then a replacement body is all you would need to fix them However, enemies throughout the mega man series are quite fond of exploding violently when defeated, you really think their CPU is gonna survive that in one piece? Yeah, the boss rush happens, but I assume that's to be handwaved with "Capcom tradition" or what they did in Maverick Hunter X as for Zero... can I just settle for the "Inafune didn't want his precious baby Zero dead yet" excuse? I really don't want to get dragged into Mega Man lore again
