There's a great concept idea to this, one season they need to do all the kids of the famous Survivors vs each other. Bring back Brandon and others. No Blood vs Water, just all of like the kids and siblings of the Survivors throwing down against each other, and see if they got what their famous parents have.

I think Brandon is very well spoken. I'm watching his two Seasons again. He said a lot of things that made total sense. I liked how forthright he is. He calls it like he sees it. I'm sorry about what they call "the meltdown" in Caramoan, but let's face it, someone needed to put Philip Sheppard in his place. He's a very aggravating person (Phil Sheppard) and most people deal with him walking on eggshells. But Brandon buckled under the Sheppard craziness. Oil and water. I like Brandon Hantz much more than his uncle. Brandon is honest, and it's hard for him to play the lying villain. It's against his core self. He's a very nice person.

@Remy Buxaplenty Brandon clearly comes from a home that lacks emotion and empathy. You can tell he is always trying to live up to his uncle. He is never in control of the game - but instead is always trying to be reassured of his place in the game. He seeks outward, external emotional reassurance. His reassurance and self-validation doesn't come from within - it comes from others - hence his emotional breakdown when people make him feel unwelcomed or unwanted. When he perceives people as not validating him as an equal and not validating his worth, he acts out (i.e., dumping rice and beans from camp). He reassures himself this is the right response by telling himself he doesn't need anyone but himself. Thus he justifies his "acting out" or bad behavior because he doesn't feel that sense of love an compassion. To Brandon - it is another "FU** YOU - I don't need you either" (Isn't this obvious?) This is even further validated when at the finale, his uncle opens up from the audience and bashes Brandon verbally by saying he didn't do anything right (the crowd boos too). Brandon begins to cry as the crowd feels for Brandon and emotionally supports him. Brandon has only tried to live up to the expectations of his family, who of which failed to give him the support and nurturing he so desires. It only makes sense since he was in gangs and so troubled throughout childhood and on survivor. He looks to God as he knows him because Brandon can find love in the idea of the Lord since the Lord will give him unconditional love, which is what Brandon needs. I hated Brandon. I thought he was fucking nuts. But after watching this again some X-years later after the episode originally aired, I realize now he is only a troubled person seeking validation and acceptance and love because he never received it. He gave up immunity and made a lot of "dumb" decisions, as everyone puts it, because his purpose is more than the money - he is learning to live a life of love that he never received. I have a lot of respect for this poor kid who had a troubled youth. He tried to live up to his uncle's persona - but Brandon's heart says "This isn't me" He's actually a very genuine, troubled kid. Try not to let a stupid TV show jade you. You lack compassion and empathy.

According to the Jury the edit he got was surprising cause it was far different from how the people that season viewed him. He was a good kid with a troubled past, hard worker in camp, easy to get along , and just an all around gentleman. Even Sophie said had she been on the jury Brandon had her vote. It is pretty much confirmed He crushes almost everyone with the exception of MAYBE some early savaii jury members and ofc Ozzy (who beats anyone that season by a landslide ) Brandon beats probably anyone else or majority of everyone else

I think one of the reasons that Sophie wasn’t liked very much was because of how emotionless she was. I do feel very bad for Brandon, because he went out there and got something out of it for himself, and his entire family ragged on him and led to his downfall in Caramoan. But, in this season, you could feel his genuineness. And as he said what he said at Redemption after losing to Ozzy, Sophie sat up in those bleachers just picking at her nails like, "yeah... whatever." I hated this season, because the Final 3 was the worst Final 3 ever. Maybe not the worst finals, because the Fi al 2 of Thailand was 🤮🤮🤮 But, as far as Final 3 goes, this season was the WORST!!

I know a lot of the comments are making fun of him but Brandon is actually a nice guy. The way his family, especially Russell, treated him at the reunion was despicable. And the show didn’t do him any favors given the state of his mental health. Oh and it is an established fact among South Pacific jurors that Brandon Hantz would have won the game. He was very well liked. If he doesn’t give up the necklace to Albert, he probably wins the game.
