I actually think Pool of Vigorous Growth is good in brawl and not just a meme, seeing as a lot of games are about ramping hard, it's something you can drop early and a way to avoid counterspells and a way to turn bad late game lands into threats.

I got good memories from Samut from the time we got those 3 free premium drafts. I managed to grab a God Pharaoh's Gift + Gate to the Afterlife combo which pretty much was the reason I went 7-0 that draft. The funny part about the Samut is that the deck I was building was golgari and I picked her early just because I couldn't pass up a mythic rare, but it turned to be really worth it to splash red for her thanks to the God Pharaoh's Gift combo.

Since you asked and said the sequencing is hard, if you want to sequence >as much mana as possible< on one of Kinnan's early turns, you almost always play kinnan with lands first so that your mana rocks tap for 2 and can chain into each other until you play a creature at the end. At 47:50 you would have gotten the skyclave relic AND kinnan onto the field on turn 3 as well that way, for example. I have a feeling you were trying not to overcommit and just didn't say it, but yeah that's the answer to your question =P

I wish Pool would create like a generic X/X creature if no creature exists at the mana value you selected. If you pick any CMC >= 13 it will just do absolutely nothing. It also sucks that at CMC = 10 for some reason the Planeshift card Stratadon is one of the things it can put on the battlefield (and in my experience it's almost EVERY damn time!) and that card is just a trash 5/5 for 10.

I love when the opponents concede. It really makes me appreciate the hours spent building decks to do cool things. Online magic is so boring. One thing goes wrong and people scoop. You'd never get paper games behaving like that. You don't have to sit through every beating but be a sport for crying out loud. My playgroup frowns upon early conceding and even sometimes when people end up wanting to but sticking it out they end up winning. No reason to be a sore loser, let people have their fun.

There's no commander I hate more than Brokeinnan. Such a stupid card. Luckily it has made me play a Sarulf removal deck as a response and it smashes this nerd to the ground. Built in sweeper, bust artifacts, creatures, lands, enchantments and keep saurlf alive with protection spells and watch them weep.
