NXT UK might be considered a forgotten branch of the black and gold brand to some nowadays on account of the fact it was often given such little attention when it was around. But this shouldn’t suggest there weren’t great things which came out of it. In fact, there were a number of top performers who got their first big breakout moments there. And it’s those people we want to look at today, starting with Gunther.

Gunther has always been destined for greatness. Went from being one of the top stars in NXT UK went to the main roster, Had a legendary IC title reign & is now a world champion. He truly deserves all the success.

Love this for Gunther but this doesn’t happen if Vince is still here. I think Gunther came around the time Vince was heading out & Vince put the ic title on him, but Gunther has said he didn’t wanna wrestle under Vince & he’s expressed it out loud a lot. I’m just glad Vince didn’t do anything goofy with Gunther before he left

What I think we all need to see is a video all about Lucha Underground. The best Characters, the best matches, how unique it was, that people who worked there had different backgrounds based around Aztec mythology. It was my introduction to Pro wrestling, and to be honest, nothing hits as hard as it. It was basically a updated version of ECW. Please Andy, you have to do a video about it for both me and the rest of the believers. Keep up the great work man.

I remember McDonagh was so good cutting promos in Nxt that they only kept him for 9 months and then he was moved to the main roster when he transfered to nxt uk to nxt He is also longest cruiserweight champion with 438 days

As a Brit who’s attended many U.K. wwf/e shows it genuinely pains me to see how a majority of the British wrestlers get treated, sure Drew did ok but man.. Regal, Davey Boy Smith, Pete Dunne never really got their dues

Sadly never got to enjoy NXT UK since local affiliates never allowed the access and cable costs for just one show did not merit buying full stations for just one show. Glad to see the folks I figured would be in the running were all mentioned. Perhaps it'd be good to go and watch those now that they'd be more readily available online since much time has passed.
