⁠Initially, I thought Katurah was just raging but after getting more insight from Katurah in post-Survivor interviews, I understand why she had such a vendetta. Her explanation about how she actually had to play the game and hide her distaste of Bruce (which you can decide for herself how well she did this) and how all those bottled up emotions had to come out in her confessionals was sound. She thought of her confessionals as a safe space where she could freely vent about Bruce pissing her off, which is valid when you consider how she was getting bossed around and talked down to by him

It’s always better, more impactful, emotionally powerful television to see people lifting each other up than it is to see people tearing each other down. The latter is Jerry Springer era trash television and we’re past that. Survivor reflects society and we’re a kinder, gentler people now. That’s a good thing.

Rivalries make for good TV, but doesn't win $1,000,000, and that's what they're there for. Plus, they usually end up with the audience judging the players and giving their biased two cents like Parvati and Sandra or Jerri and Colby. Why risk losing so much money and getting backlash from how you were shown on TV?
