Sad difference is; Kenny eventually became more of a character and an impact in the show. Even when he dies, his deaths have more weight to the plot rather than comedic throwaway. Meg gets bullied near every episode she's in and when she finally gets some recompense. (Such as Meg unloading her inner thoughts on the family or chances she finally leaves the family.) It never sticks. Only Stewie and Brian really ever saw character development. The jokes against Meg just become predictable. For some reason, my favorite episodes are when she finally gets some payback against the Griffins.

To those who are saying they feel bad for Meg, it's okay to, but don't just get really serious about her. Her only purpose is to be the butt of the jokes. She literally does nothing and that's what makes it funny. Most of the time, the show isnt trying to give us a message about how you should treat others, it's just to make you laugh. Like how people just tell Meg to shut up, and how they are so monotone about it. Heck, even I feel a little bad for her, but it's not to the point where I actually get straight up, sad or angry about it. It's more like, I feel a little pity for her, but in a comedic way. Like, when someone falls out of a chair for doing something stupid. Or like her bullies at school for example. There's been times where I've been like"if I were Meg, she would've already been on the floor" But, it wasn't to a serious degree of emotion. And calm down, to the ones who jump on people like this, like geez. Some people may experience this at home and that's why they feel so strongly about this. They can empathize with Meg. There's are times where Meg is treated the way she is ONLY for entertainment, and there are some other times when it's trying to convey a message. It's just that family Guy is so dumb, that message is often overlooked.
