A few months before he died he was watching old SNL episodes with his wife & he said "Ya know what? She was funny!" He wife said "Well DUH!" LoL

I love, love, love this show and Dick Solomon! One of my favorite episodes was the one where Dick begs Mary if he can take care of her fish while she goes out of town. The fish die. He gets her a large dog and the dog hysterically humps Mary! I miss this show. I watch it on Netflix.

Lithgow was against doing television sitcoms. He turned down the lead part for Fraiser and I'm so glad he graced us with taking the role of Dick Solomon. His son is a regular in the show. He was cast as Leon, Dick's favorite student to pick on.

Me too. I met Kristen Johnston and Wayne Knight on the set of the 'The Exes' in 2013. Ms. Johnston was really friendly and talkative. My wife and I told her we were fans from the 3rd Rock days, so she called Wayne Knight over to say 'hi'. Mr. Knight was more quiet and reserved. Still it was pretty awesome to have met Sally and Don (and Newman). She gave us a signed copy of 'The Exes' script.
