I did a workshop with you in Jackson. Mississippi years ago. Changed my whole concept of colors. My pastel art took a giant leap forward.

HELLO FROM MUSKOKA, ONTARIO! I still can’t figure out why she chooses the colours she chooses for the block in. Why not just use the colours that are there in the warms and cools as visually seen?

How did you know the roof in sunlight was a pale green? And why do you see the garage roof in sunlight as 'cooler' than the house roof in sunlight? Thanks! ....Jim

Can you tell us why in the initial block in you don’t use the local color/value first but do it later ( second stage) in the development? What is the reasoning with this method? Thank you so much for keeping the original painting and toggling to your changes. That makes it so clear to see why it needed your changes!

i cannot figure out why she chooses the colors she chooses and watching this video has been helpful in one way. i noticed that in every student work she showed, none of the colors were handled correctly according to her. To me this proves that either she is not a good teacher or that her particular choice of color (besides value or intensity) is entirely intuitive and therefore not teachable. It confirmed why I would never consider purchasing a video from her. Also, she uses colors so vivid that her paintings look pretty in a certain way but shallow in a way that lacks real substance. In nature as in life there is beauty and grittiness and I think it is all worth exploring.

Yeh, when Eric said that he lost her when she puts this pink/magenta over a blue vase, I agreed and she never seem to resolve that. There didn't seem to be any kind of sequence that I could follow at all. Is it that you just pick some arbitrary high saturation color and relate everything back to that? She mentioned how analytical thinkers had a harder time of "getting it." Getting what? Is this just intuitive? Really more confused than when the video started. The paintings are beautiful but as far as teaching goes, I just wouldn't pick it up; left with way too many questions. Maybe somebody can ring my bell in the comments to clarify what I just watched.

Also, what is the point of putting down the first notes, if the second and following notes cover that up? Isn't that glazing? Or are you completely covering up the first notes? Thank You. ...Jim

I don’t like when she uses a computer program To demonstrate I would rather see it done With a brush Computers are good for a lot of things but I need something like art I like to see the brushstrokes I would rather see the brushstrokes
