I love so much the evolution of the relationship between Sisi and Franz 🥰❤️, but also that between Sisi and Countess Esterházy, and having seen more ‘girl power’ between Sisi, Nene and Ludovica. I really hope that if you do a third season it can end even more happily for Sisi and Franz 🙏🏼 and that Marie can forgive them for the death of their mother and build a relationship of affection and trust with them. Can someone pls explain to me why Sisi was staying in the countryside and how she felt sick ? I watched season two with no subtitles, so I tried my best to understand what was going on 😂

Because she had to go to Hungary to deal with the Hungarians to offer them an autonomous parliament in exchange for the consensus so that Franz can continue to represent Hungary abroad both politically and militarily. The Hungarians accepted and this led to the birth of the Austro-Hungarian empire that Austria needed to strengthen itself, but in exchange for this Franz had to be crowned King of Hungary (and therefore also Sisi Queen of Hungary) with the crown of Saint Stephen, the last sovereign to have worn it and no one knew where it was except the rebel leader Ödon Kortkek. Sisi got sick with cholera because when she went to prison, in exchange for the confession about where to find the crown, Ödon asked her for a kiss and having caught cholera while standing there, he infected her too.
