Do you feel Pendennis Castle is worth £13pp? (Approx $21 CAD)

It certainly is if you have a nice day! The weather really makes or breaks places like that. It’s so exposed on the headland. If it’s nice though, you could spend a few hours lounging about on the grass, enjoying some food and coffee up there, it is really lovely on a good day!

Bought a book called 'Teach Yourself Knots ' from that bookshop at 1.40 . I was on a Brixham sailing trawler called Leader and we were told there would be a competition to see who could tie a knot behind their back the fastest . I won the competition and won a banana . If I hadn't bought the book I could have bought a dozen bananas . One of life's little lessons .

Just to let you know the 'Estate Building' at Pendennis Castle is actually a barrack block built in 1902 during one of repeated modernization. It was put in to upgrade the living quarters of the garrison which when it opened for business was the 105th Regiment of the Royal Garrison Artillery. A long siege during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms aside the only time guns at Pendennis Castle defended Falmouth was during WW2 when AA batteries there fired on German bombers attacking the harbor....... And of course you then went inside and found out what the building was.

Lovely video. Great edit and very good mood and info 😄 I have been to all of your Cornish destinations on KZbin except from Charlestown (yet) and I really enjoy watching your adventures there. The Falmouth beach Gyllyngvase is pronounced with a G like in "golden", and not with a G like in "Germany". I found this in Wikipedia: "Gyllyngvase (/ˈɡɪlɪŋveɪz/; Cornish: An Gilen Vas, meaning the shallow inlet)" Thank you for sharing 😀👍🙏
