Ugh! After teaching Emergency Vehicle Driving for 30 years, the wrong use of a Q siren drives me nuts. Next time you are out and not expecting an emergency vehicle, listen to when you first hear a siren. Usually if it's far away, it will be right after the peak and coming down in it's cycle. The more peaks the better. Holding a Q down and not letting it cycle up and down defeats it's purpose and just makes a lot of noise up close. Love the Q's and wouldn't by a fire vehicle with out one. Also Grover Emergency Vehicle air horns. Getting off soap box now and enjoying the video. Nicely done. (and then there is that weird electronic whoo whoo siren. Glad we don't have them out west.)

I think it's funny how some of these rigs have lights that are not working if these were my rigs I would make sure all my lights worked if not a repair ticket or a mechanic would be notified some are grill lights some are the main light bar on the rig

It varies, they are very similar to USAR capable, usually have cribbing and bldg collapse materials, but again gear and contents vary with departments!

In Long Beach,Ca. all fire apparatus has a STROBE LIGHT, in the middle of the OVERHEAD lights. This STROBELIGHT, activates a device in the traffic 🚦 lights to turn them RED for opposing traffic and GRENN for the apparatus to get through the streets easier and faster.
