Around the time Ray left and when Funhaus started was when I stopped watching RT stuff. It's just not the same humor. It's just a bunch of grown men cussing each other out or yelling about nothing in Minecraft or GTA. Thanks for all the best of videos man. While i do agree with you that Rooster Teeth has become more money oriented, when i compare them to other KZbin companies like machinma, Ign, and smosh, i still feel like rooster teeth still somewhat cares about their audience and the content they make, that doesn't mean they don't do scumbag thing, but I still have a soft spot for the company.

RT is crapping out videos and shows like there's no tomorrow, which is bound to hurt the overall quality. I don't have enough time or feel like watching 5 podcasts and 20 AH videos every week, which in turn makes me even less invested in the channel and the people behind it. It is logical from a business standpoint though, this youtube bubble is certain to *pop* sometime in the near future. They're just trying to earn as much money as possible before that happens.

Gotta agree with the rant. I used to watch alot of the RT/Letsplay stuff, but after the last 1-2 years it's not changed so much as felt fake and forced to the point of being un-enjoyable for me. FunHaus however has not stopped being entertaining with almost every video, so please don't stop making best of vids for them. P.S Something about twospooky supporting your patreon makes me very happy cos I love his 2bestfriendsplay vids.

Depends which part you want RT or AH. RT use to do RT shorts which were videos based around their office and the small amount of employees, like having a closet full of Gavin clones. The older RT podcasts and the animated videos that came out of them. For AH it was GTA 4 (cops and robbers in particular) and the old Minecrafts like clouds and cloud down (stuff in the first 100). AH also use to commonly do things like achievement guides, HORSE (where 2 people did a challenge and if you lose you get a letter), Rage Quit, Things to do although that has been coming back more and Fails of the weak. Also I don't fully agree with the "rant" as they use to show off new merch much more, a few years ago, and used dumb quotes as things to sell on a shirt. Like the iconic "People Like Grapes" and "Do Rocks Float On Lava?" which seem more of a cash grab attempt to me. But anyway I do appreciate montage/best of videos like this and others that are done like HemboHero.

If you're talking Achievement Hunter, the early days are the best. When Ray came on and before Ryan started to be pushed to the front of every fucking video. With Funhaus, imo, it's after Joel and Spoole left. The edits in their videos became more like my kind of humor and the group formed into what it is now. AH is pure cancer these days, right around when those two try hard douchebags got hired is when I noticed a huge dip in quality. I tried for a few months after and it was just ass. I also tried recently and it still just ain't the same. The company got way too big too fast and the overall quality took a hit. Exactly what Pajama said in his rant is why I only stick to FH. But then again, who am I? Aside from some dickhead on the internet.

Im gonna sound like a broken record along with these comments but yeah i remember liking Rooster and Achievement hunter back in the day when i was 13 and 14, i found inside gaming very early on in its life since i had been watching machinima for a while too and knew adam kovic from the funny in halo news videos he would do and then the daily news with who ever "bruce, matt dannevik,etc,". I soon got tired and just annoyed with achievement hunter because all their videos were gta and endless minecraft and yelling and swearing like a bunch of 13 year olds stuck in grown men bodies. It got really old quick so unsubscribed and watched inside gaming a ton, when i heard they were going to rooster teeth i thought that was awesome cuz i did want them to play together but still wouldn't touch their content with a ten foot pole. I guess achievement hunter really only is for those 13 year olds or pre teens who love minecraft and stuff now a days because every other comment on here is how i felt, our humor matured so we prefer funhaus much more as we grew older

Kinda late for this but I feel like in defense of RT, the ad stuff really seems to be hurting them in certain areas. Just look at Cow Chop, they had to start a patreon because they were getting next to nothing. And SP7 stuff gets demonetized even if there's nothing inappropriate in the video (Steven posted a tweet a couple weeks back about it). But I do get where you're coming from. It seems like a lot of their stuff is somewhat pandering to us and more like mass produced content like what Smosh has become. This is kinda why Anthony left Smosh. I doubt they mean any harm to us and hopefully they slow down this stuff soon because there is way too much content, long content specifically, for most of the audience who has school and work that makes them busy. Just my 2 cents on this matter

Anthony Valdes maybe the ad loss is part of it, but also I feel like they make sooo much money from the RT first program and all the Merch and advertisements that they do outside of KZbin that I imagine that Adsense on videos is probably only a small portion of their revenue. It hurts to take that away, but not that much. They haven't even mentioned it as far as I know. And these problems that I have issues with existed before the ad issues and have only gotten worse as time has passed

You evolved as human being, and Rooster Teeth evolved as a company. Im not saying you are wrong, but I 110% disagree with your opinion, and I feel like it's very biased and doesnt consider a lot of aspects of the change, why they needed to and what they have become. While I don't know all of these changes, it seems clear, at least to me, that if they stayed as a few blokes making content in the back room, it would have died years ago. Channels have to evolve. And in this age when youtube is filled with hours upon hours of content every minute, you have to compete to stay up the top. They are appealing to more audiences than just you, so take that into account. Again, love your stuff. But I couldnt disagree with you more
