And then it was Dan telling him, "It's just their way of expressing themselves." It's so funny that back in 2017, it was the other way around for Dan, and his dislike of people saying "precious cinnamon roll" makes Arin say "You can either just accept it or ignore it."

The small discussion around the 11 minute mark really shows the stark contrast between Dan and Arin. Dan gets affected by the zeitgeist and is susceptible to social happenings like hot words and political memes. while Arin literally has no concept or concern for the world outside the room he keeps his figurines in.
