Yes. Those who have experience with a substance they are providing to someone lacking experience, especially a friend, have a responsibility to put them in the right direction. There's so many ways those things can go wrong, and so many ways the going wrong can be prevented, so to act like nothing could possibly go wrong is just neglectful. Part of it was probably his personal experience working against him; a lot of stoners/people who consume weed almost religiously have a sort of biased view of their sacred substance, this idea that it's LITERALLY harmless, and that because it can't hurt anyone, it's someone's own fault for thinking it could if they have a bad time, or something like that. Especially if someone's never had a bad time on it, they think if someone does they're just freaking out for no reason, or not in the right mindset, when there are so many other variables that can go into whether or not someone has a good time.

If weed made Arin bug out at seeing the number 4 for 6 months then it's definitely not for him. I got a friend high once after he hadn't smoked in years. I got him so high that he thought I was Satan, and I was actively plotting to kill him. The crazier part is that he was chill with the thought of me murdering him, because he thought I was a good friend. He started explaining in very slurred speech how he was going to cover up his own murder for me so that I wouldn't be caught. He went on for like 15 minutes. I was laughing at first, but after a few minutes I was just looking at him dumbfounded. Eventually he came to a stop and I's like "you okay bro?" and he just goes "...nah" Definitely wasn't for him either.
