Damn, this vid brought back so many memories of me grinding the hell out of this game and playing it with my sister and cousins. When we were kids living near each other, we'd have a Mario Kario Night and do "All-Cup Tour" mode just to see who (or which team pair) is/are the MK champ(s) for the month. On rare occasion did we have the opportunity to do 8-player LAN parties. Ah, such happy, kind-hearted memories of early 2000s gaming.

Probably the second most played Mario Kart game in the series for me. #1 most played MK game for me at the time was MK Wii up until MK8 Deluxe released. Loved Double Dash so much. You know, I would be pissed if Nintendo doesn't at least have a "Double Dash Mode" for the new Mario Kart game on Switch 2. Looking at how MK8D has over 48 characters and the new Mario Kart will have 24 players to race, if the new MK game does get the same amount of characters as MK8D with more being DLC, a Double Dash Mode would be chaotic fun. It would literally change the game, even for competitive racers. Plus, fans can choose to race with 2 riders or go the traditional way with just one rider. Double Dash also had some really awesome karts and it sucked that none of them made it into MK8D to unlock when collecting coins.

37:18 Kenny got a blue shell and shot it (Simmons was in first place), then Simmons gets hit and Max passes him. This is when the blue shell hits Simmons in second place. I've always hated that coded logic for blue shells, but that's Mario Kart for ya.
