@@sheepketchup9059 vaccines are an amazing invention and saved many millions during last century. the problem right now is that 1) these are experimental genetically modified ones and haven't been tested well. 2) they have an extraordinary high rate and severity of side-effects and may have yet unknown long-term side-effects (possibly genetic damage to future children). 3) vaccines for respiratory viruses are barely useful, because these viruses mutate very quickly (1-2 times a year and new variants are often immune to current vaccines) and by the time there's a vaccine - most of those who would die - already died and those who would be fine on their own - are fine. at this point it's just a trillion dollar business for the pharma industry

It wasn’t really a political movie at all, but people like to inject their political mores into it. Dr. Lexus refers to Joe as “an unscannable”, implying there are others unscanned. His reaction of terror implies unscannables are people to be feared. The thing is after Joe is apprehended there’s no further mention of unscannables, and the plot shifts to searching for the time machine. My theory is that there’s no such thing as “unscannables” lurking out in the wastelands. Instead, over time people just mixed up the word “unscannable” with “cannibal” and thought they meant the same thing.

I saw for the first time Justin Long in the finale of That 70s Show and I have to say he impressed me so much with his comedic talent that I am sure he could have by himself alone saved the series, he could have replaced both Topher Grace and Aston Kutcher and carried the series on his shoulders for an entire season.

One of the funniest things that goes unnoticed for most about this scene is how it emulates modern health care in that you receive bills while receiving no help sometimes. Thousands of dollars in bills (in this case billions) for what was essentially being given the run around. The medical field is one of the few jobs where you can achieve no results for a patient and still expect ludicrous payments for no rendered service. Not that Dr. Lexus could help his situation anyways. He chalked up the experience as hallucinations caused by army drugs. Still the point remains of charging for no services rendered.

Yeah, to see changes due to natural selection like this we're talking thousands of years, but even then it's not like intelligence is 100% hereditary. Point is though, this will never happen, we'll be genetically engineering people and modifying intelligence with in vivo therapies way before natural selection has something to say about it.

Actually, the cars driving off the road fits in this situation. Since everyone's extremely stupid, they don't know how to fix the roads or at least put something up to indicate the road is broken, and the drivers are too stupid to recognize that the road is broken before they drive off it.
