This was , published in an LP by the Megaphone records perhaps in the year 1981, the beginning of a new era in singing as well as rendition of Tagore songs by the God of Music. At that time HE was torn mercilessly by the "self proclaimed' Tagore lovers(!) and the fact is that , today , thousands of artistes are following His path. We are really fortunate that the great Satayjit Ray could realize the value of his talent as he knew what is Tagore songs and how to sing as well as compose it in the best possible way. That is why Kishore Kumar was chosen by him for '"Charulata" and "Ghare Baire" . In "Ghare Baire" Ray made Him sing without any accompaniment. The jewel is best judged only by one who knows its value. MILLIONS OF SALUTE.
