I've read his autobiography and its understandable where the fight comes from, absolute natural born fighter but yet still manages to cling on to some semblance of normal functioning family behavior.....definitely Tyson level story material and truly a good all round human all things considering. CroCop was a roidhead (but still had skill). The fact that his roidhead kick couldn't even KO Hunt just shoes how good Hunt's chin is. Hunt in MMA is only susceptible to being submitted really, Yoshida submitted Hunt and so did a few other guys.

I don't think they were all on roids, I don't think Hunt was or is now. Many of those Japanese guys were clearly not roidheads either. Plus many within the UFC today are obviously roidheads (that's why they are busted all the time). Brock is a roidhead himself. At the same time, many of the foreigners within pride were some of the most ridiculous looking people. Bob Sapp, Mark Coleman, Don Frye, Kevin Randleman, Ken Shamrock, Jeff Monson etc etc. They looked literally like part time bodybuilders. The worst guy in all of MMA history is easily a guy in Bellator called Bobby Lashley. That guy looks absolutely ridiculous.

Hunt never lived a very typical athletes lifestyle and started late as a pro. He was actually known for being a "human punching bag" who'd never say no to a fight. And eventually he knocked some big bad Greek dude out and people took notice of him. Honestly. "Born to fight" has been a great read so far. In his fight against Tsuyoshi Nakasako (which he won) Hunt basically only smoked crap tons of crystal meth and played slot machines... he has had hefty battles in his life A MUST read!
