As a Habs fan I thoroughly agree with this statement. After watching the Quest for the Stanley Cup, and hearing the difference between Cooper and Richardson was baffling. The amount of heart and passion Cooper has for his team certainly helped those guys stay motivated. He deserves a TON of credit.

Every speech Cooper gave was amazing, he comes out with so much vigor and passion that listening to him sounds extremely genuine, and when a player is able to get that feel that the coach is speaking from the heart there words hold so much impact. Also him talking about forcing Montreal to bow out was intimidating, when a team plans in a locker room to force the other team to quit, and succeed, that’s true dominance.

It was an incredible playoff run for Montréal, i was so proud of my team. But man do Tampa bay had an incredible team. Just too powerful to be stop,but it was really fun to try it. Go Habs Go and Congrats Tampa bay✌👏👏

Ima Habs fan and wow, Cooper really is a gentleman out there. They way he spoke to he younger guys vs the Vets, I can only imagine what the man said to Weber. I'd love to shake Jon's hand one day. My heart goes out to Weber though, no hate towards Tampa either(they simply exploited a loophole) but man... Weber deserved this more than ANYBODY after finding out what he played through to get this far. I know people will say "Oh they lost to Tampa" but I wanna know how many teams make it to the Cup final? I personally thought it was 2 out of 31. Congrats to the bolts though, we'll see you next year!

Tampa resident. 2 back to back cups. And almost 3. Yeah, losing to the Avalanche sucks but to go to the finals again already exceeded my wildest dreams. And in the same years a Bucs Super Bowl and Rowdies went to the finals. And I think Ray's went to the World Series. It was a fantastic time to be a Tampa sports fan.

Yeah and half of the upper section was bleachers. Still, that place offered an experience that simply cannot be replicated in any other purpose built arena. I remember going there as a kid in '95 and played a bunch of games that were set up. It was like an all star game's outdoor setup for the fans, but inside the arena.

I was one of the few bolts fans that can claim that I didn’t want him fired and I’m glad management was smart enough not to panic and hit the rebuild button. They came together to figure out what wasn’t working and are now back to back champs.

All in all Habs impressed me alot more in the playoffs. The underdog going all the way to the finals. Tampa is just the team everyone knows and expects to win, especially that they’re way over the spending cap. No surprises there, but Habs showed some f’n heart. Respect.
