Best of North Carolina Spearfishing

The videos are a culmination of diving “In Season 2021 in North Carolina”. All of the footage is from North Carolina waters from depths of 60’- 120’ all shot whilst freediving.
Mark and his wife Lydia, both decades long world record holders and lifetime locals to NC diving share some of their favorite spearfishing and freediving moments. The scenery is shared with sharks including an up close and personal experience with a rarely seen White Shark, Sand Bar and a Dusky shark. We shared a near incredible coincidence involving spearfishing for a Cobia as a couple which was caught on camera and nearly desbelief, Lydia and Mark share several grouper hunt moments, a hogfish one which was speared by Mark without pulling the trigger, all whilst filming the local NC reefs teeming with fish life.
Notice we only take what we need to ensure sustainability and to leave some fish, and the same excitement, for you and future generations of divers.

Just out of curiosity do you remember what time of the year or the watertemps when you bumped into whitey ? I’m down around lookout always figured when the bluefin were on the beach these guys weren’t far off but maybe it’s just a roll of the dice?
