This is an compilation of my favourite moments, of silly, sexually frustrated, housewife Olive from the 1970's comedy show On The Buses.
I was deeply saddened when Anna Karen died, and the horrific circumstances surrounding it, however, we must remember all the joy, and heart-warming moments and memories that she gave us as a performer whether it be in comedy, or drama, and of course as a person. #OnTheBuses

The ending was a shock. The video came up as a recommendation and had to watch it. I grew up on this show in the 70s in Australia. Olive has always been my favourite character in the show. I bought all the series and two movies on DVD, it's a great show and always paid attention when Olive came on. Rest in peace dear Anna, thankyou for all the laughs.

I was very saddened to hear the news of her passing, and very shocked the way she passed, as she still had a lot to give in doing On The Buses Tours, despite her limited mobility. Thanks for watching.

@@SynthJohn Yes, I've since spent time learning more about it - absolutely horrific, brought tears to my eyes. A wonderful person indeed. Anna Karen played the role of olive superbly.. it will be a signature character for years to come ...no one could have done it better she really gave it a panache ... But it's sad the way Anna Karen died in a housefire in her London home forgotten Rip Anna thankyou for the laughs and tears ...x

I have the series and the films on DVD. Tommy Godfrey who played Sid the Caretaker in Mind Your Language appeared in the episode Mum's Last Fling. In Holiday on The Buses there was a scene where they had just finished painting the bedroom that Little Arthur messed up. Olive said to Arthur that she wanted to go to the toilet. She asked Arthur where the light switch was and Arthur said that it was on the wall. Olive slapped her hands on the wall trying to find the switch. When she found it and turned the light on, the walls were smeared with handprints because the paint was still wet. Arthur got a bit miffed and he said: "You stupid great lump! I'll have to go through all that performance again!"

Rest in Peace Anna Karen ⭐🌠🌈🕊️🌺🌹💐🌼🏵️🌻🌷 I felt so sorry for olive, she was sweet and deserved better Olive - yes while she was often labelled as "frumpy" and "awkward" even though some of the fashions in the 70's was a tad questionable but kind of edgy/quirky at the same time - in a way she was actually quite ahead of time with trends, since some of her wardrobe, her specs and hair are considered quite chic now albeit retro/vintage or geek-chic 💅
