Pat stay…. This man is more than just a great battle rapper. He was literally my saving grace through the roughest times of my life. Back in my Pepsi can days. Homeless, sleepin behind Walmarts… sittin on my cheap ass cricket phone watching his battle raps. They literally kept me from suicide.. just having a laugh in the middle of the darkest depression of my life, or the amped feeling I’d get after he dropped them badass bars. Those badass bars empowered me and kept me motivated to get out of my situation… it took a while but I now own a home, have a good job and a great family. I can honestly say that I would never be here without what this man’s content did for me. The sad part is I just found out about his death today… I shed a tear, it’s like a piece of me died with Pat. I hope you rest easy.

I think it's just not as appreciated anymore, because from poets to emcee's, we have milked heavy rhyming patterns.. I'm a nobody by views and fame, but I'm so far into writing, it's almost like both a gift AND a curse. I write whole songs with just one multi from bar 1 to bar 100 and nobody EVER writes "wow nice patterns/multi's".. Even though I do this in multiple fcking languages. But IN THE SECOND I drop a funny or hard punchline, use double entendre's or just some witty wordplay, it's immidiatly heard and respected.. I love rhyming thousands of multi's though, but maybe people don't care for them, because it's so easy to just collect rhymes on top of rhymes if you do it for a while. At some point it just comes natural to writers. Just my guess from a writers perspective, why nobody talked about it when Pat spit them. I heard them though! He was super versatile and could do basically everything. A true DESERVED LEGEND. Rest in Peace Pat "SuckaFree" Stay.

Bigg K has never once appreciated his opponent’s bars so I’m with you there but DNA is not at all a tough guy, he’s just very competitive and also a god tier freestyler he’s always in the mode of “what can I say back”. Also I need to go back and watch again but I can’t imagine Pat passed up the “DNA’s mom is retarded” angle and that always seems to put DNA in a bad mood so I empathize a lil. I watched this from the very beginning to the very end! I didn't miss a second. I've been a fan of pat stay for what over 10 years, right around the time he first got started on youtube. He's always been PHENOMENAL but this video definitely did the man justice and goes to show you how much weight his bars still holds after all these years and how much replay value his rounds had.
