I'm always amazed that some truck drivers think that they are bullet proof. Car drivers can and do carry guns. I've seen too many aggressive truckers forget that fact. Sitting up high makes them a better target. The sad thing is that they make all truckers look bad when they act up. We all have to share the road. People can lie, cameras don't.

@milithemuffin4534 truck looked like he wast hauling anything. So probably used its short stature to just overtake the car by using the merge. Legally the car is in the wrong here for causing the collision since he did not avoid danger safely and due regard to traffic around it. Semi was hit and pickup was caught in the crossfire. Had the car stopped they probably wouldve just overtaken the semi anyways by going on the left lane. Its just speculation tho but shame it ended this way.

That is the semi's fault. I'm a truck driver and we all know or should know that a semi has to take the wider outside turning lane, or this happens. In the rare event that I got stuck in the wrong lane like here, I would wait until all the cars on my right had gone through first.

#4) THAT'S NO EXCUSE CHRIS!!! You say, _"I couldn't see the vehicle till the last minute due to pick up with trailer."_ That's only because you were following that pickup with trailer WAY TOO CLOSELY!!!!! On the freeway you need a MINIMUM space of 3 FULL SECONDS to come to a stop. Pay attention to the car in front of you, see where they are, then count to three. If you reach that location prior to 3 full seconds, you are too close.

Always remember, the life you save could be yours! Life is precious, and every action you take can make a difference. Don’t just sit back and let fate decide for you - take control of the wheel, literally and figuratively, to protect yourself and those around you. Driving is not just a skill, it’s a responsibility. Always be aware of your surroundings, obey traffic laws, and make sure you get home safely to your loved ones who are waiting for you. A little awareness can go a long way in keeping you and everyone else safe and happy!

In most driver's ed they teach that it is on the car, not the truck in these cases due to the truck's wide turn angle. If the Subaru didn't move into the intersection, then they would not be at fault. But once they moved in next to the truck, they were at fault. It's like the driver in #36 who recorded themselves moving into a trucks path as it was making a wide right turn, the truck has the right of way. For trucks, there is no lane when turning, it's as much of the road it takes for them to safely turn.
@Tomcatt817
@Tomcatt817 12 күн бұрын
@@KevinSmith-qi5yn This might be the case if the subaru had drifted wide, but that was not the case. The truck did not make a wide turn, they made a sharp turn, cutting into the lane of the subaru. Yes, trucks do have lanes.
