Honestly it was this game that made the New Spencer that was hated to become iconic with all Capcom fans. The voice actor for him in the Marvel games is also superb (in both English and Japanese)

Spencer has and will always be my favorite MVC character next to Wesker. There is so much hate for that character yet when he was put in the right hands like Nemo and Yipes it was incredible to watch. I hope Cap com can at least put him in one more game or as dlc.

I'm really happy Spencer is back in Infinite. It's just so sad to see how upset people are to see him return. He's probably the most hated veteran right now. I never played him in MvC3, but I'm definitely gonna give him a chance in Infinite.

He's definitely not the most hated veteran, that probably goes to Nova or Firebrand. Nova because he's apparently "replacement magneto" and firebrand because FUCK THAT GUY atleast Spencer got people hype.

@Experimento 626 I've seen hate specifically for him, sadly. I'm well aware at the fact people hate veterans returning overall, but I've seen a lot of that hate directed towards Spencer. Especially since they bring up how he's "irrelevant" or he's from "that game nobody liked". I've also seen people say that about Arthur, but more so towards Spencer.

I'll be real and say I'm one of those people who are not happy with Spencer returning. Not because i hate this guy, I enjoyed having him in umvc3. i just don't like how they chose him over so many other popular choices for infinite. They could've added Nero from DMC4 and he would've been the same "function" as Spencer

I am glad Spencer is back, I liked how diverse Umvc3's cast was compared to 2's. Also since the bionic commando series did make a slight comeback, it make sense that he would return. Also can we get some Arthur and Firebrand.

AaronCF he can't, he has a job with Capcom. So he isn't allowed to do Capcom tournies as far as I know. He gets a lot of flack from the fgc nowadays because of him basically being the PR face of Capcom to the fighting game community. Plus a few bad comments (characters are functions) and he has a bad rep nowadays it seems.
