"Amok Time" is a good episode and definitely in the top 20, but I don't like the primitive portrayal of the Vulcans.

Ignore strong script, assured pacing, passionate acting, an absolutely ICONIC musical score, well-choreographed fight scene, numerous rankings in the top ten (TV Guide, A. V. Club, and even a #1 from the Christian Science Monitor, of all things), all because … why? Oh, yeah-you feel the portrayal of a fictional extraterrestrial people is … politically incorrect? O … K … great 👍 🤪.

Thank you, for sharing your top ten (10) list of episodes. What is great about the 1960's Star Trek TV show is for true space science fiction fans, it has something for everybody. My only issue with your list is that, it highlights several episodes which, explore the same social issue. Let me see, my list (not ranked in any order) would be as follows: 1) Is There in Truth No Beauty? ...social issue persons with handicaps; 2) For the World is Hollow and, I Have Touched the Sky ...social issue things can be learned from different cultures, we may not be able to travel in space at warp seed but, we know how to cure many diseases; 3) The Ultimate Computer...social issue others taking credit for your science inventions and the age old conflict between mankind verses the machine; 4) Bread and Circus...social issue this episodes promotes religious Faith with the concept of Jesus the Christ as the son of God the Father; 5) Amok Time...social issue the friction between the desire to obtain a life long spouse and the bond and love of male friendship; 6) Court Martial ...social issue another mankind verses the machine; 7) Balance of Terror ...social issue must the stronger always subjugate the weaker (or put a different way does Might make Right); 8) The Man Trap...social issue please try to help keep species from going extinct on our planet; 9) Metamorphosis...social issue in the 1960's a professional women can have a successful career but, she is still not fully complete unless she also has, a long term romance from a "good man" in her life; 10) Mirror, Mirror ...social issue the Klingons (which, represent the USSR) and the Federation (which, represent the USA) are interchanged ...oh my (smile...smile).

Unfortunately, I have to confess that our two voice actors were not involved (one is taking a break and the other is quite busy); therefore, I used 'Bella' from ElevenLabs - an artificial voice for this and a handful of other videos.

@@SvenPiper Bella has some impressive qualities! Yes, and some surprising confusions. I wonder if punctuation (or other tokens) can be used to help Bella parse at the handful of places where "she" failed to break the text into separate words 🤔

For me it's easier to go by character. McCOY/"The Man Trap" , JANICE/"Charlie X" , KIRK/"Arena" ", SULU/"Mirror, Mirror" , SCOTTY/"Wolf In the Fold" , UHURA/"Trouble With Tribbles" , SPOCK/"Journey to Babel" , CHEKOV/"The Way to Eden," , CHRISTINE CHAPEL/ "Mudd's Passion." (OK. An animated episode.)

list is ok. Whom Gods Destroy is my favorite. It blended sci fi, a cunning plot, hand to hand and phaser combat excellent guest stars and acting. The interstitial music was tops as well. thanks for the post. ps. In 'the last battlefield, Beele rhymes with peel. and, tos doesn't use the phrase "away team", but refers to the arrangement as "a landing party"

Every ~ One is allway ' s going to have there own list but thank you , did a Great Job , its a shame that the Ep ~ stories 1 about Spock who steals a shuttle craft when the Enterprise spots a GIANT SINGLE CELLED ORGANISM . Spock pilots the shuttle craft into it and trys to find out how to kill it after he FEELS a hole ship of Volcans die ; the secound one ENTERPRISE gets a distress call from a Planet whose people have been attacked by an alien parisit ! that attactes its self to man woman child and drives them to uncontrolled ANGER but they do get a message from someone able to control there Anger long enough to steal a shuttle from the Planet and fly to ~ wards there sun , and hear a faint message that he ' s FREE ; And the third Ep ~ story , is mainly about an young women who is mute and two more aliens controling her so they can learn about human life , , . I REALLY HOPE THAT AT ~ LEAST SOME OF THIS MAKES SENCE , VERY SORRY ABOUT THE RUBBISH SPELLING MISTAKES ; Thank You

You're kidding, right? "The Trouble with Tribbles" and "Mirror, Mirror" were two of the worst episodes of the original series.
