I think Tendi might be one of the best parts of the show. The other parts being Boimler, Mariner, Rutherford, T'Lyn...this could be a long list

All parts of the show are good, still Tendi is the best.

if I had like...ANY affinity for Star Trek, that looks like it'd be a fun show, but I don't so I'll respect its success on its own merits and not as something Piggybacking of a well known IP

I don't either but I love Lower Decks because it works to stand on its own while respecting what came before also Tendi is just so fun.
