Why are there so many ADVENTURE camper vans?
An ID Buzz Campervan, possibly found my new Kayak and a new Awning.
I visited the NEC Birmingham Show ran by NCC Events with partners Caravan and Motorhome Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club.
Is this the most expensive Campervan? There are more expensive motorhomes like the Morello’s however this is a Campervan. The electrical system is VERY impressive.
Bigger campervans are gaining popularity, but they aren’t all the same. Different budgets and requirements can determine what suits you over me or anyone else.

I bought a VW Transporter T6 Kombi Highline van 140bhp diesel SWB with tailgate.
I have lots more to do though, I have a new electrical system, using Victron components and a Lithium LIFEPO4 battery, so I obviously need to install some power devices. I have a new sound system, with Focal speakers and ibus 2.1 amp, Playstation PS4, which will be removable, TV's on headrests.
Lots for me to look forward too and it would be nice to take you on the journey.
Vanlife is amazing, get out and explore, it's a great adventure. Great Adventures in a poptop campervan.

Re: air awnings. While in theory they might be easier to put up than poled awnings they also have a couple of downsides. With poled awnings you can split the poles from the awning making them easier to store in the van. Air awanings are all in one, are much heavier and the bigger bag can be more difficult to store on the van. They are also more of a problem to dry if put away wet.

So much good stuff, thanks for making a cracking bit of content and sharing. I certainly appreciate all your hardwork. What’s your favourite campsite down in Cornwall. I’m heading down there this summer with the family and 2 hounds! We have a Shnoodle and will be adding a Good a Giant Shnauzer to the family. Keep living the dream.

Thank you, genuinely appreciate you saying that. There are many good ones and like vans, everyone has different preferences. Tristram - Polzeath Camping is on the cliff, however dogs on beach are restricted. Treyarnon is another good one with beach access and dogs are allowed. There is a sea pool which is good and also caves at low tide. Bedruthan Steps is on a cliff. Beautiful views, great food options in summer and nice walks with the National Trust cafe being highly recommended. You would need to drive to a beach but Mawgan Porth is one side and the 7 bays around Padstow the other way.

Maybe it's the appalling state of UK roads that's driving sales of off-road adventure campers? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ BTW, the T6.1 is (was?) available with a factory option of an upgraded SB and alternator - this provides a 92Ah battery and a 250A alternator.
