Its insane we were this close to never seeing Freddie Stroma as Vigilante. The original actor quit after filming 5 episodes and they considered just kiling off the character, but they recast Vigilante and rerecorded his scenes from the first 5 episodes instead. Some of the most iconic scenes in the show were reshoots.

I appreciate that this is probably the most psychotic antihero we've ever seen. He has almost no code of ethics or even pretends to and gleefully murders unarmed civilians, including a percieved mother and kids. More than just his violent tendencies, he's also extremely socially uncoordinated and constantly remains deaf to social cues, to the point that he can barely function in a conversation. He really feels like the kind of anti-social dweeb who would want to be a remorseless killer, and be dangerously crazy enough to actually follow through with it.

Peacemaker is a sociopath while vigilante is a psychopath Difference is peacemaker mental condition is due to trauma due to killing his brother and what his father did to him, while vigilante was born that way. Unlike peacemaker who can and did undo some of the damage he had on his mental health vigilante cannot.

Except several side characters in the MCU got shows and they did well. Wandavision, Loki, FATWS, Hawkeye, with more coming. Granted, they weren't necessarily all comic relief and got focus in the movies, but still. I think if Vigilante's story was expanded upon, it'd work. It doesn't even have to be a movie, it could be a series or limited series. And it could be about his origins, how he became Vigilante, what he does. There are literally so many ways that could work, chalking it down to "it won't work because he's comic relief" doesn't make much sense.

He had a better arc in this show than he did on Arrow. Character was much more relatable/enjoyable. I just hope Gunn evolves his character.

For anyone who wants the read his comic, he's actually nothing like his comic counterpart which is alright because i like his deadpool style attitude, in the comics he's actually a fairly normal superhero who descends into madness.

"Best of Vigilante" should be literally all of him: I loved that show, but Freddie Stroma really made it. Honestly he was the best part. There wasn't a bad part, but he was the icing on the top.

Anyone else realize how much punishment Adrian took? He was electrocuted 3 times in the balls by a car battery, stabbed in the arm by Peacemaker on accident, beaten up by Judomaster, got his pinky toe mutilated, fell probably 15 feet from a tree branch, took the blast of a hand grenade, got shot in the kidney in the last fight while also killing his attacker with a throwing knife behind the back...
